Socrates Posted 27 July 2013 Share Posted 27 July 2013 Wrote a review of the two different tactical systems Pearson played today. http://wp.me/p3F22g-7 Which one would YOU like to see him start with when the season finally kicks off ? What glaring issues does Pearson still need to get sorted ?

alanf0x Posted 27 July 2013 Share Posted 27 July 2013 Switched off with the text but the formations look pretty...
Swalker Posted 27 July 2013 Share Posted 27 July 2013 3-5-2 is a plan B for me. Our primary formation should be 442 and if we want to change it up
AKCJ Posted 27 July 2013 Share Posted 27 July 2013 For me, a mixture of the two is where success lies. GK RCB CB LCB RWB LWB CM CM CAM ST ST
Kitchandro Posted 27 July 2013 Share Posted 27 July 2013 We didn't have our best players out in either half so I'm still on the fence with the systems. They need to be tested with the best players for each position. In a match we have a chance of winning and put 110% into.
dayday Posted 27 July 2013 Share Posted 27 July 2013 I would be amazed if we play a 5-3-2 next week,Pearson had the perfect opportunity to play that system today with in his mind the best eleven to execute it,as he did not he would be foolish to try it next week. GingerrrFox Posted 27 July 2013 Share Posted 27 July 2013 I reckon 3-5-2 is pretty nailed on. From what I've been told the majority of players prefer the formation.
Tielemans63 Posted 27 July 2013 Share Posted 27 July 2013 Here's my tactical review of the game: Monaco were tactically superior first half. Monaco were tactically superior second half.
Legend_in_blue Posted 27 July 2013 Share Posted 27 July 2013 And here's my tactical review of the game: Pearson was tactically inept in the first half. Pearson was equally, if not more so, tactically inept in the second half.
Shoe Seller Posted 27 July 2013 Share Posted 27 July 2013 Pearson wouldn't know how to approach eating a ham sandwich. The approach would be different for each half but neither would get the job done. Any onlookers would be expecting too much and the bread would soon be made a scapegoat and sent out on loan. cjslcfc Posted 28 July 2013 Share Posted 28 July 2013 I suspect 3-5-2 may be more of a formation away from home, as it suits a more counter attacking/frustrating approach which we failed to execute away from home last year (hence the terrible away record). Then I guess and hope 4-4-2 at home with all the attacking mindedness of the first half of the season where we destroyed teams (a bit too hopeful I know)
SMX11 Posted 28 July 2013 Share Posted 28 July 2013 Not sure why people are analysing the tactical merits and deficiencies against a team that was far superior to us in every department. I thought we were ok in the first half but if a 3-5-2 is the way forward the delivery into the box needs to be a hell of a lot better.
