Guest MattP Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 How can a reduction in benefits be called a tax? Yep. As Alf said earlier you can see why people are calling it a tax. But it quite simply isn't one and it's almost fraudulent to call it that. We'll find out in a year or two whether it's worked. What ever you say about Cameron though. His popularity has been getting higher for a while now.
Rincewind Posted 15 August 2013 Author Posted 15 August 2013 Just googked about homelessness abd found a site with a report. I thought until I read the comments. It is only a God will punish you for your sins site. 'All this is because men are sinners' and similar 'The only way to solve the problem is to enter the kingdom of God' WTF is that all about. There are articles from other sources but they wont be believed on here. Easy to find them and more if the right keywords are put in Google or other search engines. Sorry for errors. cursor has a life of its own

The start of this post is an absolute shambles. Now I'm not one for taking digs about spelling and shit like they but I can't help but notice some absolute howlers recently Ken. Just take a bit more care, people are also more likely to pay attention to your posts if you do.
BoneDog Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 Ken thought Dr Dre was a God? Suprising, I thought Ken'd be more of a Sinatra man tbh.
James. Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 Der na na na naaa it's the motherfvckin' K.E.N. Rincewind motherfvckers, etc etc
Rincewind Posted 15 August 2013 Author Posted 15 August 2013 dim light and cursor playing up. Keeps movimg and I end up typing in the wrong place.
BoneDog Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 I've just remembered, your pc sounds like it may just need a new power supply unit Ken. I had the same problem once. About £14 I think, if you can fit it yourself.

Whats happened to the one on the market? The Y and T look the same in poor light
BoneDog Posted 15 August 2013 Posted 15 August 2013 Not sure about the market pc man. Thracian might know about that cos I think he's a stall holder.
Rincewind Posted 15 August 2013 Author Posted 15 August 2013 He is. see him quite a lot selling his tack quality gear.
Zingari Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 He is. see him quite a lot selling his tack quality gear. You can take a lot of hope for your book sales from that observation Ken .
Rincewind Posted 16 August 2013 Author Posted 16 August 2013 Thracian eh. What does he sell Ken? You can take a lot of hope for your book sales from that observation Ken . He sells gold and silver and antique items. Maybe but not sold much yet. Poetry does not sell well especially to football fans not butch enough for them. This is interesting You can ignore it if you wish and if you have counter facts the ones involved will be happy to hear them. I just post the links. I respect your right to disagree. http://citizenseye.org/2013/08/16/food-bank-action-in-leicester/
MooseBreath Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 Stopped reading after "blah blah blah government cuts blah blah blah THERE IS A FEELING OF DISCONTENT AMONG HOMELESS PEOPLE" HOLD THE PHOOKING PHONE SHERLOCK, GET GRANDMA ON THE LINE IT'S FINALLY HAPPENED, THE IDIOTS HAVE TAKEN OVER AND THE BATSHIT CRAZY ARE RUNNING THE SHOW. In summary, a feeling of discontent is rather what you would expect among the homeless, and if that wasn't the case previously, then being homeless obviously ain't that bad.
Charl91 Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 I stopped reading after "One in three children are living in impoverished conditions".
DB11 Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 Why did you leave your last job? I was sacked for taking the piss out of job seekers. Next. They're not job seekers though are they... hence why they don't turn up to an appointment, refuse jobs she offered them and say they get more from the government than working.
Orkneyfox Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 You can take a lot of hope for your book sales from that observation Ken . I bought it!
Guest MattP Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 Poverty in Britain? These people just haven't got a clue, do some travelling for Christ's sake and see some real poverty.
MooseBreath Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 Poverty in Britain means cutting down to 20 fags a day and being off the booze Monday through Tuesday afternoon.
Mike Oxlong Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 He is. see him quite a lot selling his tack quality gear. Gear ? Never thought Thracian would resort to dealing drugs.
Charl91 Posted 16 August 2013 Posted 16 August 2013 Poverty in Britain? These people just haven't got a clue, do some travelling for Christ's sake and see some real poverty. Exactly. That's what pisses me off about people saying they live in "poverty". I think their definition is that they only have free-view on their TV. Yes, there will always be "poverty" if by that you mean there will be some people who have less money than others. I (formerly) had one person I knew on facebook saying how much the government was screwing him over with disability allowance. Apparently he was so poor that he had to actually trade in his Iphone 4, just so he could get the Iphone 5!

Apparently he was so poor that he had to actually trade in his Iphone 4, just so he could get the Iphone 5! It's absolutely ridiculous. There was a report a year back about New Parks in the Mercury when a anti-smoking drive was being started, the quote was something like only 33% of the place worked and 50% smoked. If that's not a argument for food vouchers etc instead of hard cash being paid I don't know what is. It's amazing what work people find when you stop giving them free money.
