So that makes you a coward then?

And abusing is fine as long as it's in a pub?

So you don't say things about people/institutions etc that you would never actually say to their face?

No wonder you get upset when someone throws a bit of abuse at someone you don't even know persoanlly, and on the internet not face to face.

There's a real world out there.

I love how it is the anti Pearsonites who have wised up, the assumption, on your part, being that those of you who admire him don't need to.

What patronising tosh.

'Personally, I find it repetitious and boring and it adds nothing to a fruitful discussion.'

I find the pov that we have sacked too many managers over the last 10 years to be repititious and boring, the same applies to the idea that we are a young team and it is therefore guaranted that they will improve.

As for wising up, well let's see what happens should we go on another bad run.

That aside, can you not just ignore bnet's posts, as I do yours (in the main), should you find them boring and repetitive, differing opinions is what keeps places like this interesting.

I agree with your posts.

I have stayed clear of the Pearson in or out debate as its boring now, my opinion of the man hasn't changed, and I have defiantly not wised up as certain people are suggesting, but just a bit of acceptance that he is staying, and I want my club to do well, wether he's in charge or not, don't think he will be successful still.

But by sitting the debate out I have sat back and observed, and I can see the pro Pearson supporters appear to be ganging up on the posters with different views of the man, and trying to belittle the posts of the people who don't agree, and it's coming across as I one sided forum.

Covering the part about calling the posters Pearson lovers, I used these words and was told it wasn't acceptable as it pidgeon holed people, but it's appears to call people Pearson haters is acceptable, as its never challanged by the administrators, again one sided.

Then your debate with mc Prussian, I have to agree that his defence of Pearson is as boring and repetitive as b net, and I'm not talking behind your back mc Prussian, your defence of the man is over the top, and you are shouting down anybodies view of the man, and you seem to reply to every post against the man, like his personal body guard on foxes talk, I get you like him I respect your views, respect others that don't share yours.

I had debates months ago on the Pearson saga, and on both sides its repetative and boring now, like it or not he's here for now, but come on foxes talk lets have a fair forum.

If some people wind me up in real life, I prefer talking to them in person to resolve the issue. In my real life (which is as real as everybody else's), that's how I deal with my issues.

I don't see the point in overly moaning and being one-sided about institutions online.

And just to make this clear - BNET wasn't just throwing "a bit" of abuse at "someone", he was dishing it out left and right to whomever told him to be more reasonable.

Also, I do actually know some of the people on here personally.

Welcome to the New World. Where you can abuse anyone anywhere and when you're found out, simply deny everything or make it look like a mere nothing.

The internet is not a pub.

He was hardly bullying people and read Monsell's post for another view of how the Pearson debate is currently seen by some.

I like the idea that the internet is like a pub, you should be able to get a bit stroppy at times but know when to wind your neck in.

Down the pub the landlord should be seen to be neutral, his/her job is to be seen to be keeping the place ticking over and to be welcoming to one and all (well apart from forest or co* fans).

I'm not defending Pearson, I've made it perfectly clear on various other occasions that I'm simply sick and tired of people that hurl abuse at people online and not having the courage for doing so in real life. I'm against one-sided criticism and unfounded abuse. But it's cool with me that you have this view of me.

And my recent posts in this thread have little to nothing to do with Pearson, but mainly with posters who have nothing better to do in their life than to call others names (e.g. BNET).

In essence, I guess we've all deviated from the original meaning of this thread. Apologies.

You can do that when you know the person and get the chance to actually talk to them face to face.

Do you think Pearson is likely to meet up with bnet anytime soon to discuss tactics and substitutions.

When was the last time you had a chat with 'Dave' Cameron about the NHS?

Except for the fact that most people are not drunk when posting. Or are they...?

And the internet doesn't (help to) forget. On the contrary.

To take your allegory further (if I may): It would also mean that anyone going against the house rules would be thrown out after a couple of warnings. Right?

If BNET was all that doom and gloom in real life as his online persona suggests, he'd have the balls to ask the manager at a public training session or any similar event when you can get close to the gaffer.

I don't need to "chat" with Mr. Cameron, as his policies don't affect me one bit.  lol

I know bnet, he has the courage to discuss his views with you, babylon or NFP, it's just not very likely is it.

If we all just sat on here and discussed the weather and stated that 'It wasn't a great display but at least we won' this place would soon wither and die.

We diidn't have one sided abuse, people were just as strong in their pro pearson views.

Pearson is the marmite or Thatcher of our club, I don't think any other manager has ever divided opinions so much.

Why would you bother discussing with Pearson what you see as his shortcomings, look at the way he treats the local press.

A Donny mate of mine mentioned at the weekend that he comes over as dour and not interested in what the press has to say.

If Pearson was willing to discuss tactics etc with the fans he'd never have the time to actually manage or read his 'Dummies guide to tactics'

If he had the balls, he would at least try to be more articulate. His recent childish behaviour suggests he's not interested in the slightest. The repetitious use of swear words don't suggest he and I could maintain a sensible discussion for a prolonged period of time.

And we DID have one-sided abuse, namely coming from the fraction that has more than just one issue with the current manager.

Yes, I find it somewhat bewildering that a manager with his winning percentage and two playoff appearances in three years is able to divide the fanbase that much.

What do you do?

I can't imagine how his policies don't affect you or anyone else whether you're at school, university, work on the dole or retired.

Do you live abroad?

Remove the 3rd division wins (which any decent manager would have obtained) and you're left with 2 failures in the play-offs which no other Leicester manager has done. As a very large percentage of the anti Pearson brigade are old enough to have been watching us since the play-offs started then you should be able to see why some of us question him.

To be honest, I can see why he would do that.

The local press is a shambles - do you see what "content" the Mercury delivers on a daily basis? The major visible content that I can make out is advertisements; proper journalism is on the verge of dying or in need of a government protection plan.

And how great of you to imply that you're interested in a sensible discussion, only to throw in another (indirect) insult directed at the manager. How mature.

In other words, you were lucky enough to live through a very successive period for the club and you're now let down that the club cannot amount to that ideal any more.

Perhaps the local press si struggling because Pearson doesn't give them anything to discuss with his dour and short answers which reveal nothing.

I made a barbed funny about Pearson and you reply by questioning my maturity, do you not see what Monsell was saying.

Let down!!!

I'm ****ing horrified that we've now spent the longest period outside the top division in our history.

I'm ****ing amazed that more peole aren't uset by it, but that's where here and Bentley's differ.

It isn't an ideal, we;re the 8th bigest city in the country and yet we're struggling to get promotion even when we have owners who have spent a fortune.

Let down my arse as Jim Royle would say.

Congratulations for making the first steps towards rehabilitation.

I'm not just aiming the comments about the Pearson debate just at you, during the summer every thread turned into a in out debate, and is continuing into the season, and my observation I have stated are not just on this debate, but other threads.

Look I know you get frustrated, and I'm not having a personnel attack on you, but by constantly commenting on the post that wind you up just makes it look like your trying to shout them down, and you keep rising to the bait, ignore the silliness rather than biting. As you know I like a good debate and will have a constructive debate, but some will lower the tone ( both sides of the debate).

Its like your suggestion that that people like bnet haven't got a life, still an insult to these people, and to be fair we are all a little sad, as we all spend a little to much time on here, well i think im sad anyway😄, and the to suggest that people who don't like Pearson should say it to his face, silly suggestion really as he will never put himself in that position, and if he did I wouldn't think twice about giving him the criticisms I have of him, I don't live in awe of him, and I would like to thing he isn't that arrogant he couldn't take it, and wouldn't care if he didn't take it well.

Again I'm not ganging up on you and don't intend to sound patronising, just giving my observations.

That's all fine and dandy and I appreciate your effort and approach, I really do.

Luckily, the heated discussions have toned down quite a bit and my assumption is many have realized that only time will tell whether Pearson and his style of football is/was worth the abuse.

I don't see the point in getting all wound up about it now.

Of course we're all sad - we're all passionate about this club (although different in tone, I guess).

But one thing has to be said - your assertion that it's Pearson's "fault" that he allegedly doesn't seek the contact with the public or the fans and comes across as being "arrogant" is probably as true as me saying that the majority of the people criticizing him have never had a talk with him before.

I'm ****ing horried that our players and managers haven't earned the right in 10 years.

Isn't it a bit far-fetched and simplistic to imply that the poor delivery of content by the local press is down to the alleged failure of the local FC's manager to give more and better answers?

I mean, seriously?

The real issue with the press is a far bigger one. By a landslide. I give you a few hints: Internet, poor pay, poor leadership, bad economy, bad journalism, cheap journalism, populism.
