Me watching or not watching the game has no baring on the fact that the op stated it had nothing to do with the loss....but conveniently never piped up when we were winning. It's like trying to pick up a girl then getting shut down and saying you never rated her any way.

Give me a player who is intelligent enough to sweep up without having to battle physically over a player who has to do blood and thunder challenges all day long, because the first is a far better defensive player. King's qualities are essentially what he gets berated for: he seems invisible because he doesn't put a foot wrong most of the time: he doesn't launch stupid passes like Wellens did, he doesn't dive into tackles like Tiatto, instead he just finds the positions to get the ball easily and retains possession well. Those who criticise him for this are just ill-educated mongols.

inckley fox Posted 10 November 2013 Posted 10 November 2013 I think if we ever make the Premier League he'd be the first name on the team sheet.  Keeps possession sensibly, pops up in good positions in both attack and defence.  He is far from the complete midfielder but I think that his attributes would be better suited to a higher level of football and hopefully he can get it with us.  That said, he was very poor today IMO.  If he were the first name on our team sheet then we'd be quickly relegated.  A tidy upper-mid Championship midfielder. And it's worth remembering that he hasn't been the first name on our team sheet in the Championship, let alone if we ever do any better than this.

Many misguided types on here see King as one of our top players. If not, some say, THE top player. If he cannot control the game, at home, in the Championship, against a Forest side in free fall, how the Hell does anyone think he's gonna be a force in the Premiership? Against UTD, City, The Arsenal? Cmon lads, think before you type. Where do you get this garbage from? Really? King is a decent Championship player. If he was anything other than a decent Championship player, he'd now be a Premiership player. Can people not kinda see why this would be? Although I'm sure Socceroo Fox will, no doubt, tell me he should be a Premiership player.

Prem clubs have never been shy in spending money on top championship players. He could never make It in the Prem. Take goals away from him and he's league one standard.
