What's with the confusion ?

It's just two headline stories showing what an idiot Boris is ( as if it needs pointing out)

Posted

Boo. Spoilsport. Ruined my vision of Ken wantonly typing away in the hot tub in the early hours surrounded by bikini clad beauties and a pile of empty ale bottles after the best birthday of his life.

It is two stories looking at how the current economic situation affects people living at opposite ends of the financial spectrum.

What is hard to comprehend about it?

I typed question marks as you posted 2 headlines but didnt give your personal opinion on them

thought the topic title might be a clue. I saw no need to pass an opinion.

The second story showed how out of touch Boris Johnson is with the most vuknerable of todays society.

Boris Johnson when it comes to serious matters really needs to think before he opens his mouth.

i think you're being too kind , or just making excuses for him. :)

he probably has thought about this and really  is this stupid

Believe it or not some on here see the Guardian as impartial lol Often the same people who criticise posters who post links from certain other news sources.

Boris is right. How many times do you hear people bashing the rich, bankers etc now often for little or no reason. Just because some bankers made wrong decisions should we stereotype and treat them all the same? if I did that based on someones race or colour I would be slaughtered.

Just because some people have money and are successful doesn't mean they don't have feelings.

The second point is awful though, people shouldn't have to live in B&B's, but again, quite unbelievably the same people who are against this generally support opening our borders to thousands more people in Jan who will need housing when we all know we don't have the infrastructure to do it, work that one that if you can.

Maybe you should make the text abit smaller next time. Far too big to actually read. Oh wait....

Yes you're right, i can imagine them sobbing themselves to sleep at night

Can we ban people posting links to the Guardian?

Why don't people want unbiased and agendaless 'news' anymore?

That would also mean no links to the Mail, Mirror, Telegraph, BBC (if you believe some) or pretty much any news source, except maybe the Independent, but then nobody reads that for a reason.

So how about instead of banning links to the Guardian, try pointing out the factual inaccuracies and blatant shit stirring in the article, like most people do whenever a Mail link is posted.

Does anyone actually do that? All you normally get is "it's the Daily Fail" or something equally witty. If it was just politics you could see their point but some people can see a Nazi agenda in some transfer gossip.

I've seen a fair few threads where a Mail or other link has been published and it has been ripped to shreds, along with typical Daily Fail comments, I've also never seen anyone demanding people stop posting Mail links, nor refused to read a Mail article when it has been used to back-up a point, as MattP has done with the Guardian. Especially when the reasoning is political bias. The problem is it is not biased to their liking.

Any dislike I have for the Mail is not because of their political leaning, but its insistence on dressing up hate as news.

That's because left leaning people believe the only possible reason anyone can have to disagree with them is motivated by hate.Sceptical about immigration ,you must be a racist. Fed up with political correctness you must be homophobic. Believe in cutting  the deficit it's because you want to spite poor people. It's all so boring.

It isn't though is it? It's because its fashionable.

If it was about dressing hate up as news it would the Daily Express everyone would be on at. The Mail is aimed at Middle aged women and the lefts obsession with it is frankly bizarre.

The reason the links are to the Guardian is necause it is one of the few papers that highlight things to do with the vulnerable section of Britain.

The Mail only publishes them if it is negative like the one this week about a homeless man that ate an old man in france (?) This paints a bad picture on all other and stereotypes which suits its readers. I have not as far as i remember seen an article from them highlighting the affect cuts have on the lowest paid.

BTW the limit that councils can put families up in B&B is 5 weeks so if it is longer it is breaking the law and it should not be swept under the carpet and ignored.

Did they highlght the story of the man who ran his own hotel before deciding to go homeless?
