davieG Posted 2 December 2013 Posted 2 December 2013 As 7 English League managers are sacked. It sure is a funny old game but no longer surprising. After the Mandaric era it's sure good not to be part of it.
Alf Bentley Posted 2 December 2013 Posted 2 December 2013 Jol (Fulham), Jones (Sheff Wed), Flitcroft (Barnsley), O'Driscoll (Bristol C).... Who are the other 3?
Soar Fox Posted 2 December 2013 Posted 2 December 2013 Jol (Fulham), Jones (Sheff Wed), Flitcroft (Barnsley), O'Driscoll (Bristol C).... Who are the other 3? Coyle (Wigan)
MC Prussian Posted 2 December 2013 Posted 2 December 2013 Jol (Fulham), Jones (Sheff Wed), Flitcroft (Barnsley), O'Driscoll (Bristol C).... Who are the other 3? There was also Guy Whittingham (Portsmouth), which leaves one more to go.
marko Posted 2 December 2013 Posted 2 December 2013 There was also Guy Whittingham (Portsmouth), which leaves one more to go. Richie Barker at Crawley.

The Blur Posted 2 December 2013 Posted 2 December 2013 It is getting to a stage where I struggle to name the manager of some clubs now such the frequency of sackings. Where is Appleton at now???
Soar Fox Posted 2 December 2013 Posted 2 December 2013 Where is Appleton at now??? Linked to the Barnsley job
The Blur Posted 2 December 2013 Posted 2 December 2013 Linked to the Barnsley job I don't even realised he was sacked from his last job- was it Blackpool?
Kitchandro Posted 2 December 2013 Posted 2 December 2013 I don't even realised he was sacked from his last job- was it Blackpool? Blackburn? One of those 2 anyway!
StanSP Posted 2 December 2013 Posted 2 December 2013 There's probably never a good time to sack a manager, but this is probably the best? Gives a manager ample time to assess the squads while they play matches and analyse who they can buy and sell in January. Worst time to sack someone is probably just after a transfer window ends when a manager inherits a squad and players they may not want.
Fox92 Posted 2 December 2013 Posted 2 December 2013 Freedman will have Bolton playing again soon. I won't be suprised if they end up challenging for the top 10 again. As for Zola though, what is that now? Four straight home league defeats? I know they've conceded three at home to Derby, ourselves and now Yeovil.
