mickythehoss Posted 29 December 2013 Author Posted 29 December 2013 I'm hoping that the club can buy it, l would like to stay on public display

jonthefox Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 If the club don't buy it (although i'm sure they will) maybe we could organize some kind of syndicate?.
Mack Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 Surely contacting the club first before going public would be prudent with such a rare and historical item?
Finnaldo Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 If the club don't buy it (although i'm sure they will) maybe we could organize some kind of syndicate?. Couldn't we all chip in a bit then donate it to the club afterwards?
Larry_LCFC Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 Couldn't we all chip in a bit then donate it to the club afterwards?I'm sure the club will buy it. If they can wipe out £103 mill debt, they can spend abit on a piece of history. Shouldn't be down to us to buy and donate it to them. Would be ashamed of lcfc if they didn't go through with it.

See what you mean though.
Guest Bilo Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 It should be brought by the club and displayed to the fans, it's a masterpiece. The detailing is astonishing, even down to the graffiti at the back of the Double Decker. As Larry says, it would be beyond disappointing if the club didn't buy it.

Do we know if anyone has contacted the club since the news of it being for sale? It really is a drop in the pond for them. I know the seller said 4 figures but it would be nice to know how much. There's a good chance we could raise the money on here. How much did stringer raise on his Q&A?
Webbo Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 We only needed #1000 to sponsor a player and we couldn't raise that.

Larry_LCFC Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 The OP said the club had been in touch. Will have to wait and see
NewquayFox Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 Best of luck Mickey, i have a couple of your models and they are brilliant.... I hope the club buy it as it deserves to be on public display for generations of fans to see.....
Bryn Posted 29 December 2013 Posted 29 December 2013 That's magnificent work and what a tragedy that you've lost function in your arms. I hope you continue to derive as much pleasure from model building as you always did.
mickythehoss Posted 29 December 2013 Author Posted 29 December 2013 Arm mate, there's no s :xmaswink: Appreciate the post though, Many Thanks
