21st Century Fox Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 My uncle was a season ticket holder at Darlington. I really feel for them. How a former safe-cracker and money launderer was allowed to destroy that club is beyond belief.
harpendenfox Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Thanks for that link. Good distraction on a slow work afternoon! I found my way to the Darlington1883 website. Talk about a grassroots club with a challenging history. Good luck to them http://www.darlington1883.co.uk/?page_id=40
ousefox Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 Went there once with York away in the FA Cup. The York end was completely full then they just had fans scattered around a couple of stands. Such an odd experience. It was quite away out from town I seem to remember too.
Ashley Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 such a horrendous stadium. As is ours and Southamptons then
purpleronnie Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 As is ours and Southamptons then Well I meant the fact it's a huge carbuncle that could never be justified.
Guest shearfox Posted 2 January 2014 Posted 2 January 2014 It looks just like ours, boring stadium. It is silly because they can't get even a 10% attendance...
RonnieTodger Posted 3 January 2014 Posted 3 January 2014 Wasn't their record crowd like 12,500 against Middlesbrough? One of the strangest decisions in football, that ground.
