Dan Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Fair play to him! You get less time on the ball in the championship, sign of a quality player Than The Premier League?
StanSP Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Well in a more successful team in their respective leagues, the stats are bound to look better. (not taking anything away from Drinky. Been in top 3 Leicester players this season anyway!)
FoxTrott Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Reminds me of the Modric of Spurs a few seasons back. The catalyst that makes the everything in the engine tick along in the right direction - if you watch him for one game, you may not notice anything. As Sqwaka well points out, a master at positive possession. Playing simple passes forwards, rather than whacking balls forward and risking losing possession or playing backwards and losing the momentum of an attack. He is a gem, one who has probably won us more points than we give him credit for. The longer he goes along, relatively unnoticed by the top flight teams, the better for us. I also feel he would certainly be a player that would comfortably take a step up to the Premiership.
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 23 January 2014 Posted 23 January 2014 Than The Premier League? Yes you get less time on the ball in the championship as players tend to get hassled and harried plus it's more physical than the premier league
Mark_w Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 Not a very fair comparison. United's strikers are shit.
Unabomber Posted 24 January 2014 Posted 24 January 2014 Yes you get less time on the ball in the championship as players tend to get hassled and harried plus it's more physical than the premier league i'll give you that it is more physical, but there is absolutely no way that you get more time on the ball in the premiership, they just move the ball much quicker.
Mickey O'Neil Posted 26 January 2014 Posted 26 January 2014 Drinky and James are my unsung heroes this season. Reg and Nugent grab the headlines for the goal scoring, Knocky and my ever-favourite Dyer for the wing chaos. These two just go about it quietly.
