jumbo mills Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 We are no longer taking bets on Leicester City reaching the top 6 in the English Championship as its a racing cert. anyone with bets on Leicester making the top 6 from Monday will be paid out. Happy weekend.
Danizen Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 Bet365 have stopped taking bets on who will win the league.
Onions Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 Bet365 have stopped taking bets on who will win the league. No they ain't
johnny the fox Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 I won't be happy till all the other teams need snookers.
ElusiveEd Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 Where can I find odds on Alan Youngs prediction? Someone on RL had messaged and said she had got 250/1 last Sunday I like risky bets like this
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 The bookies are rarely rarely wrong. This is the sign that we are very likely to get promoted.
rico Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 Where can I find odds on Alan Youngs prediction? Someone on RL had messaged and said she had got 250/1 last Sunday I like risky bets like this Mark Jarvis,i took that bet before Mboro game and got 100/1 to go unbeaten until end of season
Onions Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 No way in the world they'd give us 250/1 to not lose again. We're about 1/1 per game at the moment, max. Which means (double result) of Leicester/Draw would be about 1.20 (1/5) (25 x 1.20 = 94/1) That, 20 odd times adds up granted, but enough to reach 250/1, and why would they give 250/1 on a silly bet anyway, could offer 20/1 and idiots would still bet on it.
Danizen Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 No they ain't Hmm. On your screenshot it says the book closes tomorrow. On the mobile site, The Championship isn't on the list of leagues to bet on.

I think our points tally is the sign that we're likely to get promoted. Why do you rely on the bookies so much? The information you need is the league table and our opponents' squads.

Books open and close everytime there is a championship game. Always been the way with bookies, then obviously open after the results
hackneyfox Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 Someone on BR placed 10k at 4/5, the bookies offered him 14k today.
Babylon Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 The bookies are rarely rarely wrong. This is the sign that we are very likely to get promoted. Other than about Nige being the first manager sacked!
Guest Col city fan Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 I think our points tally is the sign that we're likely to get promoted. Why do you rely on the bookies so much? The information you need is the league table and our opponents' squads. Its not about relying on them, its about the fact that they employ top bods to work out probabilities. And its very rare they get stuff wrong. Thats why they make an incredible amount of money. Its all based on an a huge amount of info. Times goals are scored, where they are scored from, passes made, tackles made, etc etc etc. The biggest 'probability' of City going up is the fact that all bets are off...
itsaknockeart Posted 1 February 2014 Posted 1 February 2014 1/3 for the title on Betfair and around about 1/10 for promotion. Odds are an accurate assessment of probabilities but even tens-on shots can get beat. A 90% chance of promotion feels about right to me.
