Sykes999 Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Heard Watford are bringing 500, that's pathetic. But where would you all say we are in the table with away fans? I always think we bring good numbers to games but a lot of them do not sing at all, at Leeds there was about 5 of us singing most the time.
Brooksy Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 I don't think fans of such a massive club want to be seen in our tinpot ground.
Voll Blau Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 To be fair if I was an away fan being charged those prices there's fvck all chance you'd get me to the boring bowl we have to call home either.

Dan Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Been looking for this so cheers. Anybody know how many we took to Blackpool and Ipswich though? Had a look on the OS and they never seem to mention our away following per game. I remember Blackpool being the exact same figure as Charlton, so 2,210. Ipswich was about 1,600 I think. Us being below Derby is the ultimate injustice. Shows how little luck we've had so far with kick offs etc... no doubt Wigan ends up Tuesday as well.
J.Lisemore Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 When will clubs realise decreasing the price of tickets will actually make them more money? £32 is laughable for Home fans to pay, never mind Away fans.
cjslcfc Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 We are usually around 4th in the league for away numbers. Sheff Weds, Forest, Leeds all above us
FuriousFox46 Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 To be fair, we've been horrendously unlucky with Birmingham, Sheff Wed, Barnsley etc all being on a Tuesday

Fancy Barnsley again though. One of my most favourite away games, and the OS says we've got 3500. There is no doubt we'd sell that on a Saturday. But I still think we've done well. 2300 to Hillsborough and 2600 to Birmingham. I know these places aren't miles and miles away but for a midweek game when people have commitments on the day, and the following day, I think it's a pretty good return.

We took more to Brum on the Tuesday than Derby did the following Saturday...
Hungry Hungry Fox Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Don't blame them. £32 is a disgrace. Doesn't stop other teams bringing far more fans Watford just don't have a very big away following

Jfox Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 We've taken more than Derby to every ground we've been too except for Yeovil, assuming we take around 2k to every game now, then we will finish above them easily. In fact we could be looking closer to an average of 3000 between now and the end of the season looking at the games and allocations we'd have. Forest 2000 Barnsley 6000 Wigan 5000 Blackburn 7000 Burnley 3000 Reading 4000 Huddersfield 4000 Bolton 5000
Kitchandro Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Are we sure those averages are right? They all look a bit low. We are usually around 4th in the league for away numbers. Sheff Weds, Forest, Leeds all above us Sheff Wed and Leeds maybe. There's usually a team at the top who are above us as well. Newcastle, Norwich, Southampton etc.

FoxDownSouth Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 7500 at wigan will pump that average up. Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
harrowhorn Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 You didn't sell out at Vicarage Road, which, given it's a really easy journey, is not that great. There will be around 1100 Watford on Saturday - we've had a lot of away games recently, piggy banks are a little empty. and £32 is a bit eye watering - only Ipswich and Leeds charge that much.
Jfox Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 They're all... optimistic. I meant the allocations we'll get, not what we'll take Although there's no reason why we can't take 5000 to Wigan if its cheap and 3000 to Burnley
Banks Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 We didn't sell out at Vicarage Road, we sold 1,700 for a game that was on Sky and an early kick off. You took less to a play off semi final so I don't think you should be commenting on other teams support.

PS The play-off was also on Sky, on a Thursday evening IIRC with no trains back, at about 3 days notice.
Kitchandro Posted 6 February 2014 Posted 6 February 2014 Well I think I should so we'll have to disagree. There. Is Super_Horns the only Watford fan who isn't a nob? Watford shouldn't be commenting on anyone's support.

Super Horns is a nice guy but an utter arse licker. Why should we not comment on support if you lot are calling us pathetic and giving it the big 'I am'? Leicester pop 300k - home games ? 26k I'd guess, away (from above) 1900 Watford pop 80k - home games 15,500 (mostly sold out these days apart from restricted view) away (from above) 1,200. Next?
