Strokes Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 I really respect both fighters and it should be a terrific fight. I wish I could go, but I will have to settle for ppv and some peroni.
MPH Posted 16 March 2014 Posted 16 March 2014 Im thinking the complete opposite to this!!! ! Looks like Froch is the one rattled AGAIN!! Gotta admit Groves is one cool young fook!!! Now I never said froch wasn't rattled... just that he knows what he's doing....
CPW22 Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Got my ticket for this confirmed, can't wait! Not sure who I will be backing yet or which way I can see it going. I think the fact it's second time out will help Froch a lot, I am not sure how much of Groves's performance in the first fight was down to Froch underestimating him.
Nick Posted 24 March 2014 Posted 24 March 2014 It's already started Boxers in badly acted drama shocker.
BoneDog Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Still think the stoppage in the first fight was way over the top. Canna wait to see them go again and hoping for a Groves win.
Matt Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Most overhyped fight ever? Remains to be seen. We'll have to make that decision after the fight, I don't see how you can make that comment pre-fight. Based on the last fight, not at all.
Guest MattP Posted 26 March 2014 Posted 26 March 2014 Most overhyped fight ever? Not even in the top ten. Dempsey v Carpentier, Ali v Berbick? Recent memory what about the pathetic con that was Haye v Harrison. The boxing World still laughs at us for that.
Matt Posted 1 May 2014 Posted 1 May 2014 Ringside Special on now. Quite funny. Froch doesn't seem as worried, wound up (Verbal wise) or lets say emotional this time, you can see he is quitely bubbling up inside though. Groves not mouthing off as bad as last time but is mouthing off slightly. Tough one this time, I think Froch will win again, he knows he can't disrespect or underestimate Groves, he won't go make the mistakes he made last time, but you certainly can't write Groves off. Tough one to know who I want to win aswell, because last time I really wanted Froch to win, I thought Groves was an absolute bellend, I still think that but I respect him because he proved me wrong I gave him no chance whatsoever last time, he did well, very well and impressed me.
Grandad. Posted 2 May 2014 Posted 2 May 2014 My tickets were dispatched today for the fight, really can't wait now. Just finished watching Ringside as well, Froch composed himself well I thought. Groves will continue to try and keep getting under Froch's skin, it worked last time, so why not. The under card is shaping up nicely as well.
Grandad. Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 Carl Froch - "my worst performance beat his best ever performance, and thats a fact". Love that.
Guest MattP Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 I'm really starting to regret already not getting a ticket for this. I hate the type of crowd these big fights attract but I've got a feeling I'm going to be missing out on probably the biggest British boxing event of my generation here. I should have been there. As for it, my opinion still stands Froch does it more comfortable this time, he won't have underestimated Groves this time and as above he can't fight a worse fight than he did last time. Rematches from a close contest usually go the way of the previous winner and I don't think this will be any different.

That is the exact reason why I got tickets mate, don't get me wrong Wembley will be full of absolute ****** but as long as I'm not around a load of Chelsea headhunters then I will feel ok. This is a once in a lifetime fight in this country, be something very special to beat this in the future. I agree, I think Froch will do him inside 6 to be honest, Froch we all know comes stronger later in fights but I can see a bit of Bute in this fight, Froch had it all that night and that is what I can see him doing to Groves. Don't know what time I'm going to get inside Wembley for, no chance am I sitting around there from 7pm! Probably get in there for DeGale fight.
Grandad. Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 Kinell that's ages away. Shhh! A week tomorrow is when the fight will get people most talking, after the Champions League final there is a 'The Gloves Are Off' special with just Froch and Groves for an hour talking, can't wait.
Soar Fox Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 I went to the original fight and 90% of the people were cheering for a Froch win. I wanted Groves to win and didn't half get some long states from some roided up meat heads. Think Froch will win this easier than last time unfortunately, he won't be underestimating Groves this time. I think groves will come out looking for a early knockout and tiring himself out, then Froch to win it in the 5th.

Will be serious aggro at this one I think, a pro London crowd this time around with probably 20-25k Froch fans in the midst of it.

Completely understand, I'm already thinking I've made the wrong decision now so I'll be certain I have on the night. I usually get in about 2-3 fights from the main event in a big event/stadium bout, the undercard he has put on so far is pretty good and De Gale has been put up against a fairly decent fighter who will really ask him some questions. If you dont want aggro you can easily avoid it, you'll probably see a few scraps though.
AndWhat? Posted 16 May 2014 Posted 16 May 2014 Never been to the boxing before, is it proper moody then??

What time would you recommend getting into the stadium for then Matt, the fight has to start at 10pm apparently? Want to have a few drinks around Wembley before instead of paying Wembley prices! Never been to the boxing before, is it proper moody then?? Me neither, don't really want to be seeing a loaf of aggro, going with a bird. Last thing I want is to be around a load of London/Chelsea fans cheering Groves on and they will want my blood if I cheer for Froch haha!
Soar Fox Posted 19 May 2014 Posted 19 May 2014 Never been to the boxing before, is it proper moody then?? There was a bit of trouble at the first fight but it's to expected to be honest. One thing with boxing though you don't have the safety or protection like you do at a football ground. If you get into any trouble you will be on your own for a good few minutes before any security come over.
Grandad. Posted 19 May 2014 Posted 19 May 2014 Boozers showing this?? The majority that show Sky I would say mate, be daft not to have this!
