Howard9 Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 As tickets go on sale in just under an hour now is anyone planning on going down to watch whats set to be the biggest post war attended fight in history?
Uncle Albert Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Yeah. You getting your tickets from seetickets.com?
Nick Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 It'll be a PPV for me.... I like to watch the punches and be able to see if they actually land! It will be a great atmosphere though.
Guest MattP Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Giving it a miss as I hate stadium fights, unless you are on the floor the view is appalling. Done Hamburg and West Ham and Wembley will be even worse from a distance. Will definitely get out to the US though if Froch does one last fight out there. For the fight, Froch a better more defensive game plan, comes through on points after dominating the latter half.
foxfanazer Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Not going to go but looking forward to watching it. Would like to see Groves win and hopefully he goes out with a positive approach again.
Nick Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 The best result for me would be a competitive fight with a clear victor between two quality fighters - without the two of them making themselves look silly, childish and frankly daft with all the pre-fight gibbering handbags.

Unfortunately when you get fights targeted at the "non boxing audience" like this one you get it, I think the jibbering could be on a Audley/Haye level for this. It will be a decent fight again no doubt, but give me a good local show over this hype anyday of the week to attend. Other problem is you'll get a shit undercard for this fight, unlike HBO or Showtime Sky will allow it as they know the wider public will shell out just for the main event.
Guest MattP Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Looking at the seating plan the 100 pound floor tickets actually look ok, get lucky and you are 4-5 yards from the 300 seats. 100 to sit in the actual stand though? Unbelievable.
Uncle Albert Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 I've sorted my tickets, section 134 (which is behind a goal). £40 tickets, so not overpriced for me and it's not a bad view, been Wembley a few times and sat behind a goal. In fairness I am going mainly for the atmosphere.

Well to be fair mate, going on 'view from your Wembley seat', with the ring being raised, lights, the view from my seat isn't going to be bad anyway. Making a right day of it with a bird so I'll be more than likely to pissed before the fight even starts! Re-watching the first fight, if the atmosphere is anything like that again then 80,000 people should be in for a special night.
Soar Fox Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Carl Froch is embarrassing himself and making himself look a bit of a d!ck to be honest. Like the first fight I hope Groves beats him.
foxfanazer Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Come on Groves. Wipe the floor with the Forest scumbag. Already winning the pre fight battle.... ..... again!
Tincy Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Froch is a prize ****, can't wait for groves to smash him up
Munshi Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Used to like Froch a bit before his first first with Groves. Now he just makes himself look like a right twat.
Guest MattP Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Huge fan of both so it's disappointing to see him behaving like this.
kingfox Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Carl Froch has always been a bellend, just like Amir Khan, James DeGale etc... Someone like Anthony Joshua has the right mind, and isn't cocky in terms of being over confident. Hope Groves floors him again, but this time wins because of it.
Bert Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Fully team Groves now after Froch has done that. Embarrassing. Seems to me like he's quite intimidated by Groves. Will never stare him down either. Groves handles himself much better in the media too.

I've walked right into this one me and my mates are going.
Strokes Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Groves handled that very well and made froch look a bit pathetic and maybe a touch scared of him.
Guest MattP Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 I've walked right into this one me and my mates are going. You'll still have a great time, as others have said the atmosphere will be absolutely electric as well. You'll see more fighting in the stands than the ring though will be absolute chaos. Frochs fans aren't as bad as Hattons but not far off and you can Iimagine what the cockneys will be like. Need one of the boxers I know to get a spot on the under card now, more I think about it more I still think I'll want to go.
Lamby Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Boxing is the shittest sport ever, it's even shitter than Golf and Snooker. Who would pay to see people punch eachother? You can just go out on a Friday night and see it for free.
Jace Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 I'm surprised to see this at Wembley England can't even get near selling out for internationals anymore I would have thought somewhere like the O2 arena would have been more appropriate be interesting to see what the attendance will be
