kingfox Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Boxing is the shittest sport ever, it's even shitter than Golf and Snooker. Who would pay to see people punch eachother? You can just go out on a Friday night and see it for free. This is a new low for you. Idiot.
Dan Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 You'll still have a great time, as others have said the atmosphere will be absolutely electric as well. You'll see more fighting in the stands than the ring though will be absolute chaos. Frochs fans aren't as bad as Hattons but not far off and you can Iimagine what the cockneys will be like. Need one of the boxers I know to get a spot on the under card now, more I think about it more I still think I'll want to go. I've got to admit I've never really followed boxing at all but a mate of mine suggested it so I thought I may as well, might end up getting me into another sport properly. I'm taking something LCFC related. That's bound to rustle a few Forest jimmies.
pSinatra Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 I went to see Frank Bruno beat Oliver McCall at the old Wembley. The ring looked like it had been built by Apex Scaffolding & you couldn't see fook all. I've also seen fights at Granby Halls where you're so close to the action you get splattered with blood & sweat. It is here that you get to appreciate the sport of boxing. As MattP says, if you're going to this fight......you'll love it, even if you can't see much. The atmosphere will be fantastic.
Guest MattP Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 I'm surprised to see this at Wembley England can't even get near selling out for internationals anymore I would have thought somewhere like the O2 arena would have been more appropriate be interesting to see what the attendance will be They have sold 60k in an hour and loads are moaning they couldn't get one. Could genuinely shift a million seats for this.

Jace Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 They have sold 60k in an hour and loads are moaning they couldn't get one. Could genuinely shift a million seats for this. Hell thats mental never realised how big this fight had become

I went to the fight in November and the size of some of the blokes who were there frightening.

You can just go out on a Friday night and see it for free. Why would you go to watch professional football, I mean you can watch kids playing in the park for free. Clown.
Soar Fox Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 You wanna be careful pal, this is not football and the protection you get at a match won't be there. I agree I was in tiger tiger and what started of as a bit of banter with blokes who were from Nottingham and some Man city fans quick escalated into a 20 man brawl.
Guest MattP Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 You wanna be careful pal, this is not football and the protection you get at a match won't be there. Spot on. If you get into trouble at the boxing security isn't there and the geezers are genuinely up for it. (And like Walsh says, generally very big as well) Did anyone go to Munroe v Terrazas in Cov? 150 lads scrapping in the skydome, went on for ages before any security turned up, no publicity either as it's boxing, had that been at the football people would have been sent down.
Unabomber Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 I will take your lots word for it cheers. Imagine if you hadn't posted in this thread and then just turned up with a massive LCFC flag
Dan Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 Imagine if you hadn't posted in this thread and then just turned up with a massive LCFC flag It's my own naivety really. Dodgy territory I suppose considering I don't really know enough about boxing so I'll leave it. Took a Leicester scarf to Frankfurt. What a brainy idea of me when it occurred after I'd left the hotel that they were playing Schalke

Stop being such a complete bonehead.
Raj Posted 10 March 2014 Posted 10 March 2014 genuine hatred between them 2 they dont need to sell this fight. Groves has got under Frochs skin ALREADY!!! You'd have thought he's have learnt by now! P.S I went To MEN arena many years ago to see Tyson v Francis. It was electric..amazing...even though i couldnt see **** all....and people are right...DO NOT MESS with Boxing fans...some of them looked like they had steroids for breakfast, lunch Tea AND supper!!!
Uncle Albert Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 I would hardly say Froch shoving Groves is embarrassing and making himself look stupid, if you hate someone then things like that are going to happen, fair enough if you can keep your emotions contained. Nobody will ever know what these pair whisper to each other, there's going to be even more of this to come in the lead up to this fight. Team Cobra.

Can only be encouraging for him
Uncle Albert Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 I think its showing that he's rattled by Groves. Can only be encouraging for him Groves is rattled, look at him squaring up to Froch's brother, Groves didn't need to do that. As much as I love Froch, his brother is an absolute numpty, I know he's doing it to get under Groves skin and he is doing but he just comes across as a right nobhead.
MPH Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Pretty obvious froch pushed groves to get under his skin. Any boxer who can make his opponent so angry it disrupts his game plan has gone a long way to winning already. Froch knows what he's doing But yes. Definitely proves he sees Groves as a serious threat this time...
foxoffderby Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 Can't wait for this. First fight was amazing, been following Groves for a while now the boy has a great chin and is very quick. Froch is wind up merchant looking for one last big payday. Hope that Forest scum gets knocked out.

He could of fought in Vegas, he took this fight because he wants to prove all his doubters wrong. Seem people forget that Froch won the first fight and Groves took it to the extreme to get a rematch, Groves knows he will never have a bigger fight in his career than this, Froch will know the same but Froch could have had a HUGE unification fight with Ward.
Lcfc Jordan Posted 11 March 2014 Posted 11 March 2014 apparently Groves was whispering something to Froch, hope Froch knocks him out personally

I don't think Froch will fight again after this match whatever the outcome - hence one last payday. Just the way I see it.
