Tuna Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 Carlo Nash was Stoke's goalkeeper on that day in May, 2008. Guess how many games he has played in the last 6 years? 3. 3 Games, yet still is on the books of Norwich City in the premiership! He makes Conrad Logan look prolific! Can you think of a worse stealing a living footballer?
ousefox Posted 22 March 2014 Posted 22 March 2014 Isn't Richard Wright a squad member for Man City still?
Guest kristianity77 Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 No one beats Pegguy Arphexad surely! a 16 year professional career and 39 appearances!
Guest Mickyblueeyes Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Stuart Taylor Shame really as when we had him on loan he looked a pretty decent keeper. Unfortunately, he has spent his career being a back up and in some cases third choice keeper.

Mark 'expert' Lawrenson Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Tough as a goalie with just the 1 position up for grabs, although Carlo Nash does seem to be taking not playing to the extreme. What about outfield players who don't ever seem to play?, joining big clubs, earning loads of cash and content with hardly ever playing. Scott Sinclair a fine example of this, talented, but why not stay at Swansea and play regular football, he will get to his mid twenties with probably only 150 games under his belt, what a waste. He has joined 2 big clubs in his career Chelsea and Man City and totalled 16 appearances for these 2 clubs. He is only 24 but has played for 11 different teams, sent out on loan all the time. I am sure there are better examples than Sinclair but he is one who sprung to mind.

Jimothy Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Isn't Richard Wright a squad member for Man City still? To be fair he played quite a bit for Ipswich, Arsenal and Everton before becoming a 2nd/3rd choice keeper.
CPW22 Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Isn't Richard Wright a squad member for Man City still? I never understood this either!
Tuna Posted 23 March 2014 Author Posted 23 March 2014 I think Stuart Taylor is worse than Nash on reflection, 72 appearances in his entire career! His loan spell with us was the joint 3rd longest spell playing (10 games). He hadn't played for 3 years before featuring 4 times for Reading towards the end of last season.
Bluefoxtim Posted 23 March 2014 Posted 23 March 2014 Decent article here: http://www.theguardian.com/football/2011/jul/12/knowledge-football-fewest-appearances
