Poor relation to Forest and Derby.

Let's investigate the last twenty years, seeing as it's the most relevant to the situation on the ground today.

Seasons in Premier League since 1994:

Leicester City 8 (last in the PL in 2004)

Notts Forest 4 (last in the PL in 1999)

Derby County 7 (last in the PL in 2008)

Trophies won since 1994:

Leicester City 2 (1997 League Cup, 2000 League Cup)

Notts Forest 0

Derby County 0

European Campaigns since 1994:

Leicester City 2 (1997-1998 and 2000-2001)

Notts Forest 1 (1994-1995)

Derby County 0

The fact remains that Derby and Forest's best days are behind them, and are now all but forgotten outside of Derby and Nottingham. Derby may still play in the Premier League next season if they win the play-offs, whereas Forest will have some more time to wait. We will be playing Premier League football next season and our best days may still be ahead of us.

We have the best team, best owners, best manager and best facilities in the East Midlands in 2014. The power structure has shifted to the team with the LE postcode, and it's high time our rivals started to accept it. I'm sure Forest will go on about how far superior they are to us after a Stuart Pearce led side has lost a cold November fixture at Doncaster or Brentford, but the reality is very different in 2014.

Those Plymouth forums just come out with the same claptrap they did back in 2008.

The only difference is, the delusion of Plymouth being an up and coming club bound for the Premier League is gone for good.  The idea that their chairman was building a successful club which would operate successfully without breaking the bank has been shown for the nonsense it is, (also applies to Bristol City) and even the most deluded of them must now see that a move to Leicester from Plymouth was always a good move for Holloway, in a similar way a move to Man United from Leicester would always be a step forwards.

The only delusion they are able to keep hold of is that Devon is the only place in the UK where it is worth living.  Well...they do have a bit of pretty coastline, but Cornwall will always be better and Devon has huge rates of unemployment and vastly overpriced housing which most of them will never be able to afford.

The Midlands has some pretty countryside too, and is not a backwater and it is a place where you have a wide choice of professions.

I'll enjoy having my points from 6 years ago so succinctly being made in reality and I will stick to the Midlands too, while having a little laugh at their expense, regardless of what they think about it !!

Well said Bilo

We've been the best club in the East Midlands for the last 20 years. Great stats

Don't you like Plymouth either?  Good for you.  A fair few years back, someone did a survey of fans and came up with the three clubs each team hates the most.  Burnley got on more lists than most, mainly (I hope) because of close proximity to so many (Blackburn, Preston, Blackpool, Bradford, Stockport) but also appeared on Plymouth's list - the most distant local rivalry in football!

It dates back to 1994, when we beat them in the 3rd division play-off away leg after they'd booked their coaches for Wembley and advertised them in the match programme lol , and then a few years later we beat them in a 3rd division "loser takes all" relegation match on the last day of the season.

Wolves really. There's been bad blood between the 2 clubs ever since the days of Walshie and Bull. if not earlier.

They'll go up this season but they won't find us waiting for them in the Championship because we'll still be a division above them.

I really enjoyed it when they had a 20 year exile from the top flight between '84 and 04. I think they're in the midst of another one right now.

When I met the woman who is now my wife, she had three children.  The oldest, a girl, supported Chelsea and the middle child, another girl, supported Man United.  The youngest, a boy, supported local club Wolves.

This is now 9 years ago and and both the girls have had LCFC season tickets in their time and both had boyfriends who also started supporting LCFC.  So including my other half, who accompanies me to to games, that is 5 people I have converted to Leicester City in my 9 years in the West Midlands.

The lad I left alone as he supported his local club, although this led to much annoyance over the years.  Things have swung back my way now though.

My point is...you need to sort it out mate !!   lol
