Mack Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 For me Burnley look a little shot. With the size of their squad it was only a matter of time before injuries and fatigue caught up with them. I'd imagine they will still scrape over the line and for me QPR will be the team to go up out of the play offs.

Wigan, Derby, or Brighton for me - if I had to pick one it'd be Wigan, but I hope it'll be Brighton. (And before I'm accused of looking at the top 6 and basing my prediction on those teams, if anyone can be bothered to look for it, a month or so ago I predicted a top 6 of Us, Burnley, Derby, Wigan, QPR, and Brighton. I just need them to rearrange their positions for me to feel truly smug about my prediction ). Edit: And indeed for them to finish in those positions. 6th spot is far from a foregone conclusion.

In my opinion the Fa Cup semi defeat yesterday will weigh heavy on the Wigan players both physically and mentally, and will see them fade. Brighton did look good the other night, however we were as bad as they were good so I am not going to get too excited about them. For me QPR have by far the best squad, and with Morrison in form and Austin back and scoring they look like the best all round package. Then there is Derby..... well!
woznotwos Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 With Trippier and Ings back I reckon Burnley are good for at least 6 points from there last 12. But then again the wife says my opinion means jack......................
jonah Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Us an Burnley promoted.. the playoffs are anybodies..a few teams hitting good form Derby Wigan Brighton Ipswich an Bournemouth are all gonna fancy there chances..Id love to see Bournemouth do it but if I had to put money on it id say Wigan.
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Burnley of course, and 'Arry's boys. Come on you blue hoops and put a smile on his face.
Istilllovefilbert Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 QPR have supposedly had the "best" squad all season??? If they can't find the will when they were in a shout of auto's they ain't never gonna be up for the play offs. Wigan have got to be the favourites, but watch the sneaky fookers. Ipswich, Brighton, Bournemouth...
Carlos88LCFC Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 QPR have the best group of individual talent but they are not a team. They may win the championship next year Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk

Trippier was brilliant in his first game back yesterday and one of his crosses nearly forced an own goal from Woodgate but we missed Vokes and Ings spent too much time arguing with the ref.

AyewJoking Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 I'd settle for 2nd place as long as QPR dont make it.

Personally , hes the reason why I would like you to fail so we can try our luck at signing him. Quality player!!
Kirby&West Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Good to see Burnley fans got the memo about their promotion day fancy dress party. Seems like thousands turned up as empty seats.

daib0 Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 I can't see the top places changing hands to be honest, down to 5th ...
Carl the Llama Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 I can't see the top places changing hands to be honest, down to 5th ... I hate to be the bearer of bad news, but looking at the remaining fixtures I'd say Brighton are fairly nailed on too: Reading Brighton Ipswich Leicester 1st H Huddersfield 17th A Watford 13th A Wigan 5th A Blackpool 20th H Bournemouth 9th H Middlesborough 12th H Yeovil 23rd H Burnley 2nd A Doncaster 19th A Forest 11th A Wednesday 15th H Burnley 2nd H I've highlighted in green the matches where you'd expect the respective team to get a decent result. As you can see I fancy Brighton in all their remaining matches: Huddersfield, Blackpool, and Yeovil are all teams you'd expect Brighton to beat 9 times out of 10, and Forest will have naff all to play for as well as being rather shit. Ipswich have a couple of nice fixtures in Watford and Wednesday who have/will also have nowt to play for, but Bournemouth still with an (imo) unrealistic playoff hope will be a struggle, and although I expect Burnley to have sealed promotion and us the title by the time Ipswich play them, they'll still be tough to play. Finally there's Reading. Poor, poor Reading. Doncaster will be a nice day out for you, but otherwise you still have the 3 best teams in the league waiting to play you(and we really don't want to take it easy on you after Brighton's reality check), as well as the best team that aren't in the promotion race in Middlesborough. If you guys end up in the playoffs I'll be put everything I own on you to win.
sdb Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Derby & Brighton I hope - good games to go to and teams we should finish above. If Wigan or QPR go up I think they'll spend big and build a decent team.

No sign of tiredness in any of our players on Saturday, we just couldn't score. 69 or 71% possession, depending whose stats you use, and most of it in Middlesbrough's half.
WhispyWizard Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Burnley spank Blackpool on Friday, its over, Derby won't win every game between now and the end of the season, its not like Leeds aren't used to screwing over clubs on the last day of the season. Best situation is that we beat Reading, Burnley win Friday and Derby lose after that, giving Burnley no pressure to pickup points in the last 3 matches, making us champions
Cornerflag Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Wigan for me. Gutted for them over the Arsenole cup game at the weekend. They gave us one of the best games of the season up at their place the other week.
john ridley Posted 14 April 2014 Posted 14 April 2014 Not bothered who comes up with us , if Burnley get caught means we're champions , happy days .
