fuchsntf Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Look at the fixtures, consider who they have to play, consider last few games form. Apparently Burnley didnt play bad, they just couldnt score. I want Burnley to go up, for me they deserve it.Do they have it in them to chase city for the title. Is it possible they dont see 3 point to confirm second place.... Derby, could possibly win their games. Sadly QPR too, forget bias a moment. For Burnley and ourselves, the Reading games could be more important than expected. 4/5 games left...neither Title nor 2nd spot decided......intriguing.
Unabomber Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 I'm trying really hard to work this post out but I'll be honest, i'm struggling.
Guest ttfn Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Burnley would do well to catch our current points total after today. Their run in is dreadful after Friday.

Fox92 Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Could you do me a favour and post their remaining games mate?? Blackpool (A) Wigan (H) Ipswich (H) Reading (A) It's just about over now imo, especially if we beat Reading on Monday. If we do win on Monday, it will be a 9 point gap again with four games (12 points max) remaining. No games are easy in the Championship but on paper we have an "easier" run in. Burnley have two local derbies, one of which is very tough (Wigan). Ipswich are no pushovers either.
Istilllovefilbert Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Looking at Derby's fixtures compared to Burnley's, I fear (however unlikley) that the sheep might sneak it. I for one wouldn't mind Derby doing so, as I feel it will weaken the PL and help us next season, but I do hope Burnley come up. I don't want Wigan (looking too good at the mo) nor QPR (QPR) promoted. But anything might happen
Unabomber Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Problem...???? I just can't work out what you are trying to say. Is it who we think will go up in second? Or is it not a question at all and you were just making a statement?
fuchsntf Posted 12 April 2014 Author Posted 12 April 2014 Could you do me a favour and post their remaining games mate?? Thats lazy ...look at any soccer site ,championship, fixtures. Example bbc sports championship.

I can see them getting 8 points from those games, which means we'd have to monumentally f*** it up to not win the league.
XLM Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Realistically given Burnley's current form they're not going to win all 4 of their remaining games. I'd be surprised if they reached 90 points in all honesty.
Buzzell Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 It's in our own hands now. I would be very surprised if we don't go up as Champions. Concerning who finishes 2nd, I'm not bothered in the slightest. Burnley, Derby, QPR, I don't really care, all I care about is us going up as Champions!

Burnley have an 8 point lead with 4 games to go; no matter how difficult their run-in is and how many injuries they have, if they blow their lead, it would be a historic and horrible collapse. As for the title, Leicester have no business losing out on this, either. QPR and Derby will have to settle for losing to Wigan in the playoffs .

Forest collapsed..!!! 2 draws 2 losses for Burnley, Derby challenge with a late run of 4 wins, ....ey viola.

Guest Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Glad Burnley lost today. Happy for them to lose every game the rest of the season.

BoyJones Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 If Burnley lose their next two games which is highly possible and Derby win theirs which they should, then Burnley will be bricking it. Check out the kick off times, Derby will know what is needed or possible next Friday.

Qpr can't catch Burnley as long as they beat Blackpool, so can't get into auto's, Looking at the others fixtures :- Derby fixtures Doncaster A Barnsley H Watford H Leeds A Burnley fixtures Blackpool A Wigan H Ipswich H Reading A Derby have the easier run in, they could quite easily win them all, if they did Burnley would want 5 points from the last 4 games, Blackpool should be three points and this would mean either another win or two draws, that's not going to be easy but my money would be on Burnley. It may be who is going to bottle it? ( Derby)

Think people are forgetting Burnley have only lost 5 times all season.
