fuchsntf Posted 12 April 2014 Author Posted 12 April 2014 Blackpool (A) Wigan (H) Ipswich (H) Reading (A) It's just about over now imo, especially if we beat Reading on Monday. If we do win on Monday, it will be a 9 point gap again with four games (12 points max) remaining. No games are easy in the Championship but on paper we have an "easier" run in. Burnley have two local derbies, one of which is very tough (Wigan). Ipswich are no pushovers either. ' If' is the word , and I did hint ..try to look it has a neutral. I believe city will be champs, in principal we could now lose after today against Reading and QPR, then match Burnley's run in.
Istilllovefilbert Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 One more win will do it for us IMO. Burnley are doing something far worse than we did by losing cause of a hangover (or whatever reason)...they are getting the jitters.
MooseBreath Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 I kind of want Burnley to get promoted in 2nd and derby to win the play offs (easy six pts next season plus a bit of local rivalry), but at the same time I'd love to see burnley collapse just to see dyche go absolutely mad trying to find things to blame. Whatever happens I dont want to see any of qpr, wigan, reading or Brighton promoted.
Carlos88LCFC Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 We will finish top, Burnley will finish 2nd and anything can happen in the play offs. Hope it's not QPR though. Hate that clubs way of doing things. Surely they will **** up FFP if they don't? Sent from my iPhone using Tapatalk
Agent Fox Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Beat Reading and we'll be 9 points clear of second - that should wrap up the title with 4 games (12pts) to play. Regarding second place - I really don't like Burnley anymore since we play them and their lack of class from that. I'm inclined to say I'd prefer Derby to go up as it would be good to have a local derby in the Premier League. Regarding the playoffs - I want the team that finishes 6th to go up unless it is Reading, I don't like Reading - tinpot.
Tuna Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 We want bloody shooting if we don't win the title from here. Today was a gift.
Happy Fox Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 I prefer the sheepshaggers to come up an easy 6 points for us and they hate playing us as we are the Number One team in the East Midlands they will be out of their comfort zone without Forest to hold their hands.
Guest Col city fan Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 We will be Champs, Burnley second. QPR will win play-offs. IMO.
Devonfox1884 Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 We will be Champs, Burnley second. QPR will win play-offs. IMO. Because big 'arry is such a footballing genius eh col?!
Bert Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Burnley will beat Blackpool & Ipswich and draw with Wigan & Reading.
Livid Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Burnley are there. Derby for me in the playoffs, would be good for the East Midlands.
Deucalion Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 I think Burnley deserve to go up for the phenomenal season they have had, but if not, Derby. I think Bournemouth will have a late run and win the playoffs !!
ElusiveEd Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 I'd like Burnley up with us. Def not Derby for that local rivals reason and I don't want QPR up either as I despise Joey Barton with a passion. I think it's pretty cut and dry now, we win at Reading and we will be so many points clear that it would take a miracle NOT to be Champions. Burnley will get the win they need and I'd be really pleased for em. Wigan need to pick 'emselves after today and hopefully win the play-offs.
Bluetintedspecs Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 Us champions, Burnley 2nd. Wigan in play offs for me!
MC Prussian Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 We'll finish 1st, Burnley will come second. And as for the playoff spot - either Derby or Wigan, both sides are playing great football.
MattGamble92 Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 The OP doubts 2nd is a forgone conclusion yet also says the title is too? So he thinks Burnley could lose all their games and also win them all. Ok I need a lie down now
Father Ted Posted 12 April 2014 Posted 12 April 2014 LCFC 1st, Burnley 2nd. Derby and QPR to both flop in the play offs and I'll have a happy summer.
sly1 Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Burnley for me they deserve it just like us been there all season c,mon on join us up in the big time up the blues.sod the sheep shaggers. .
_Fatboyslow_ Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 I was getting a bit concerned about not taking the title but having seen burnleys run in a couple of draws would crack it now, so I am a bit more relaxed now, bit I still think Cols done his money on QPR
Socks Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 Cant see Direby or 'arry catching burnley tbh Want Wigan to win play offs

Alf Bentley Posted 13 April 2014 Posted 13 April 2014 2 draws 2 losses for Burnley, Derby challenge with a late run of 4 wins, ....ey viola. ...as the French conductor said to his string section! I'm imagining you saying that in a Del Boy accent!
