HEGGSY Posted 21 August 2014 Posted 21 August 2014 Its a Saturday 3pm kick off so not on TV? Am I being thick? Some places have "special" boxes that allows them to show the game.
Grandad. Posted 21 August 2014 Posted 21 August 2014 I would post this in the LCFC section but we all know about that part of the forum.. Just letting all you City fans know that the Three Crowns in Barrow, is showing the game on Saturday v Chelsea at 3pm. Hope this helps a lot of fans who can't make the game. We had the Everton game on last Saturday and there was a lot fans in the pub for it. 2 HD screens will be showing the game, and Gillette Soccer Saturday will be on the other for the betting fans. Thanks.
AnotherShitSeason Posted 21 August 2014 Posted 21 August 2014 I'll be watching in The Black Rock in Santiago if anyone's in the area.
jammie82uk Posted 21 August 2014 Posted 21 August 2014 Is this actually legal now to show all the games? I know there was a landlady who caused a change a few years ago, but not heard much about it since. I know there were a few places showing the Everton game in town and they seemed to be trying to keep it hush hush. You can show the game as long as the BPL emblem is not shown or the BPL music isn't played or anything other that has been directly copyrighted by the BPL
Webbo Posted 21 August 2014 Posted 21 August 2014 Some places have "special" boxes that allows them to show the game. Webbo Posted 21 August 2014 Posted 21 August 2014 How easy are they to set-up and install mate? Everything is pre installed so easy. If you have any problems there's a forum that'll help you out. You need a reasonable broadband speed, 3 thingies+

Oh I know mate got one for my step dad so he can watch the games on.But I don't think these are the boxes the pubs use. They use actual receivers with a special line that picks up foreign channels I believe.
LCFC_Nige Posted 21 August 2014 Posted 21 August 2014 Anywhere in city centre? Edit-sorry just read above
maxwelld_ Posted 22 August 2014 Author Posted 22 August 2014 All 3pm premier league games are shown on different satellite networks around the world Fox sports Sky calico Jazera sports To name a few. Pubs buy subscriptions to non uk networks and show the games. For instance sky Italia will shown the game sat in full HD. They broadcast on Hotbird 13e which is very easy to pickup in the uk
maxwelld_ Posted 22 August 2014 Author Posted 22 August 2014 How easy are they to set-up and install mate? Don't need that goto xbmc.org and down load for you windows PC or laptop, all it is a front end media player for internet streaming sites like wizwig
PutneyBridgeFox Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 I've spoken to the Three Kings in Kensington and they are 100% showing the game. The only 3pm they are showing. Sound. I will be there! Bit of banter @ the Eight Bells with the Chelsea lot in Putney then quick Tube spin over there :-)

foxfanazer Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 As an outsider. Where is the best place in the city centre to watch this? The places that show it aren't particularly nice but I'd probably say Molly Ogradys
Jordan Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 Football Factory, New York, just below the Empire State Building.....[/quote Yep, I'll be there. As an aside, all the Premier League games are either broadcast on TV or streamed online (free to cable/satellite subscribers) by NBC Sports.

So, me being dim now sorry!! - when you say it is free to cable/satellite subscribers, does that mean I can view it via TV or just online??
blue_alfie Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 I know the Harrow Inn in Thurmaston village had the Everton game so I assume they'll have Chelsea!?
Jordan Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 So, me being dim now sorry!! - when you say it is free to cable/satellite subscribers, does that mean I can view it via TV or just online?? No worries. All the games are free online to cable/satellite subscribers... in the United States. For everyone else, though, you will have the pubs mentioned above and/or decent streams online don't ask me any legal questions about this, though!
NewquayFox Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 My brother is over in NY Jordan, him and his missus will be watching the game in Football Factory....
The Year Of The Fox Posted 22 August 2014 Posted 22 August 2014 I've heard The Ram in Ibstock will have it on.
