sphericalfox Posted 12 October 2014 Posted 12 October 2014 I've looked but seriously couldn't find a thread dedicated to trip hop! Really? Am I just dreadful at using the search function? Anyways, I love trip hop and will to this more than most genres of music if given the choice. Anyone got any favourites? Here's my current
Uncle Phil Posted 13 October 2014 Posted 13 October 2014 It's something I always like when I hear it but only own a couple of portishead albums. I generally prefer my music a bit noisier. Care to throw a couple of recommendations out there?

I'm going to go for the obvious and then perhaps plug other lesser knowns later, or for others to make suggestions. http://youtu.be/buEnHBopMEQ
sphericalfox Posted 13 October 2014 Author Posted 13 October 2014 Anything by Herbaliser for example: http://youtu.be/ur2nlVXpaCw
bovril Posted 14 October 2014 Posted 14 October 2014 NoW, Herbaliser et al are excellent. Didn't know they were 'trip hop' exactly, I've never been good with genres anyway. +1 for the links, though, going to be a good night now...
Lineker's Left Foot Posted 16 October 2014 Posted 16 October 2014 Now this is a topic for me. Can we have an Electronica/Leftfield one too?? Watching Dallas so won't post at the mo. Oh but love Hefner (not the Indie band), Thievery Corporation and Fink

sphericalfox Posted 18 October 2014 Author Posted 18 October 2014 Not strictly trip hop, but David Holmes stuff is brilliant, and the fact he went on to do soundtracks is no surprise
sphericalfox Posted 18 October 2014 Author Posted 18 October 2014 enough for now. Some of them are arguably something else, but trip hop isn't exactly a definable one suit fits all.
