Why did my post get deleted?

In the words of Nigel Pearson "He got a taste of his own medicine"

Not really I told you to go away, you told me to fvck off and die, rather large difference. Hopefully the deletion of your post is just the beginning as well. I was highly offended by such remarks and you left me with no choice but to take it up with those in charge of the site, especially given your previous record.

Steve Gerrard gets a chance in our area - there's no midfielder anywhere near him, he scores.

Cambiasso gets an identical chance in the Liverpool area late on, there's a defender plus the sitting midfielder Lucas right infront of him, putting him off. He ends up sending a difficult chance straight against his own player.

tbf cambiasso's "chance" is just a break of the ball and a snapshot, as opposed to wes morgan looking up, picking gerrard out and laying it off to him better than i've seen any striker do this season.

still struggling to understand how the gerrard goal really has anything to do with cambiasso. defensive midfielder, 10 defensive midfielders or no defensive midfielder you cannot legislate for your centre half cushioning a ball 16 yards from goal onto the right foot of one of the best players to ever grace the premier league.

We wouldn't of scored without Vardy on the pitch, his shitness was pivotal in the goal we scored, end result = the same.

No cos my defensive midfielder strides forward in the 90th minute and whacks in a 30 yard thunderbolt. :)

He also gets a block in on Lalana's shot.

end result = draw.

same here, i was lucky it had already been reported before i saw it and appropriate action was taken before i got too offended.

... you do realise that five is less than six?

Just going to let this linger as the festering dirge of incomprehension that it is.

Actually no, I'll go back to my I give up stance.

Well that just proves the point really is that our defenders aren't as good as Liverpool's - so they need a bit of help.

The only alternative to this I've seen proffered this afternoon is to tell them not to make mistakes...

Well we don't need an essay.

But in the words of Richard Keys "It was just banter"

I'm joining you. I won't be posting in this thread again. For at least 10 minutes but hopefully 10 years.

Foxulike's last post has actually finished me off, I must be even thicker than col thinks I am.

So, no chance of a rep point then?

Edit: Manwell I don't want one if it's out of pity. TAKE IT BACK!!

but our strikers aren't as good as liverpool's either so they also need help. but we can't just play 15 people at a time can we?

like i said in another thread there is literally no solution, that's why we're bottom. every system has it's flaws. if we were to play more defensive midfielders i'd be amazed if we score another goal all season.

Posted

Well why not? If the defence is in the six yard box then that's where the defensive midfielder is going to be too.

No it isn't. If they're screening the back four they'll be on the edge of the penalty area, not the six yard box. It might have stopped the Gerrard goal, although more likely this defensive midfielder would have been over towards our right to support the full-back - but it wouldn't have stopped the first or third vs Liverpool, or any of the QPR goals. They were in more Sweeper (between Defence and keeper) territory than defensive mid territory.

True. Key point though is that when playing a better team it generally makes more sense to try and not concede goals, rather than try and outscore a more skilful team.

Law of football...

You're too late Doctor. I've already reduced two posters to tears today with this argument and I don't think I have the mental strength to go through it all again.

yeah like when we played the vastly superior man for man team manchester united and we kept it nice and tight and nicked a goal to get a win mainly credited to our magical defense and it's covering midfielder.

It was more your suggestion that your holding midfielder player is capable of covering centre backs for the 2nd goal, Full backs for the 1st goal, and on top of that had pinged Liverpools top corner from 30.

I'm dying to know who you specifically have in mind cuz it aint fcking Dean Hammond lol

What happened to Richard Keys?

In the words of Andy Tate "Don't care"

But anyway Pablo, didn't you say one time that you'd wish I'd get hit by a bus, I laughed it off.

So lighten up, and take the bants.

Well, actually yes. His name is Dean Hammond.

No sorry, deeply offended. In the hands of the relevant authorities now, I'd prepare your defense.

you think we beat united because dean hammond was playing and we kept it tight and defended well?

i'm out the thread. goodnight.

Have you seen highlights of Gerrard's goal?

If not, do so and don't watch Gerrard running off to celebrate his goal, watch Cambiasso's reaction....

He stoops down with his head in his hands.

To me (and maybe only to me), that reaction showed two things:

1. "Shit, they've scored"

2. "Shit....he's got in and I was nowhere near him"

Watch it back..see what you think...
