Grewks Posted 8 December 2014 Posted 8 December 2014 Am I the only one who thinks one should play behind Ulloa? We lack creativity and a threat from the middle of the park. Out wide we do look threatening....but as we have nothing in the center of the park it is so easy to nullify our wingers. James is not a link man from midfield to attack, but he would be great at linking with a Tony/Riyad, who then can either look early for ulloa or wide. We are too rigid and lack any sort of attacking flair......Riyad/Tony would certainly offer us far more creativity, and would be able to drift wide and offer support out their.
L1wazza Posted 8 December 2014 Posted 8 December 2014 They are wingers not no 10s we have powell for that (if he ever plays)
kingfox Posted 8 December 2014 Posted 8 December 2014 Wouldn't mind seeing Riyad play there, take him away from the wing, because quite frankly I'm getting sick of his average performances, loses the ball too much when played out there & doesn't track back well enough. Meanwhile Knockaert is just shit.

Grewks Posted 8 December 2014 Author Posted 8 December 2014 They are wingers not no 10s we have powell for that (if he ever plays) Sterling was a winger...not a 'number 10'. But when Suarez and Sturridge were fit, he played behind them....and IMO is his best position.
BlueJoe Posted 8 December 2014 Posted 8 December 2014 Mahrez need to go on a weight gain program he can't cut it in the prem anyone can blow him off the ball!!!
L1wazza Posted 8 December 2014 Posted 8 December 2014 Mahrez need to go on a weight gain program he can't cut it in the prem anyone can blow him off the ball!!! In that position strength is not that important look at the likes of hazard and di maria, hardly powerhouses. thats not the issue
ScouseFox Posted 8 December 2014 Posted 8 December 2014 play them both anywhere on the pitch and we will immediately become a better side
Miquel The Work Geordie Posted 8 December 2014 Posted 8 December 2014 Good use of dots Grewks........
benpicko Posted 8 December 2014 Posted 8 December 2014 They are wingers not no 10s we have powell for that (if he ever plays) I thought Knockaert used to be a number 10
Bamba's Babes Posted 9 December 2014 Posted 9 December 2014 After watching Knockeart for a couple of games it was obvious, to me, that he is suited to a central role. Mahrez should be played on the left, where he plays well for Algeria, so he stays wide and offers genuine width. A new speedster on the right is needed along with a new striker... and left back and defensive midfielder! Oh happy days, oh happy days, when Jesus...
Dan Posted 9 December 2014 Posted 9 December 2014 I've always thought Knockaert would be better in the centre as a 'number 10'. Mahrez on the left if he fancies Albrighton, whichever side if he doesn't. Schlupp will never ever be a Premier League winger. Totally out of his depth. He is pure physique.

Yet has more assists and goals than mahrez this season..... What a ridiculous comment.
L1wazza Posted 9 December 2014 Posted 9 December 2014 Why are people so quick to slate schlupp, he's one of our own just support the lad ffs
Carl the Llama Posted 9 December 2014 Posted 9 December 2014 Why are people so quick to slate schlupp, he's one of our own just support the lad ffs That's cool, and we always ask for our own products to get a chance in the team, but he's had a chance and he isn't ready. Players of his current ability shouldn't be in our first team if we want to stay in the league. Unfortunately Knocky isn't good enough either according to Pearson, and Albrighton sure as hell isn't, so it looks like we need to do some serious business in January.
ScouseFox Posted 9 December 2014 Posted 9 December 2014 knocky isn't good enough based on one start when clearly not fit yet Schlupp deserves chance number 14 or whatever it is to still not be good enough. Magic.
L1wazza Posted 9 December 2014 Posted 9 December 2014 He's scored more than any of our wingers though
Carl the Llama Posted 9 December 2014 Posted 9 December 2014 He's scored more than any of our wingers though You can't be seriously suggesting he's better than Riyad because he has 2 goals instead of 1. Tony's only played 106 minutes of PL football.
Dan Posted 9 December 2014 Posted 9 December 2014 Good use of a post..... Yet has more assists and goals than mahrez this season..... What a ridiculous comment. So Schlupp's better is he? I literally cannot fathom how anyone can believe Schlupp is better than Mahrez. It's just unreal. Why are people so quick to slate schlupp, he's one of our own just support the lad ffs I'm fully behind him at every game. I don't show my support by giving faux arsekissing on Foxestalk, this is where I'll vent what I think of certain players and Schlupp happens to be one I don't rate at all.
Carl the Llama Posted 9 December 2014 Posted 9 December 2014 The assist stats don't take into account his shot that led to the first goal against Man Utd, or against Villa which were as good as assists imo so no, Jeff hasn't made more assists than Mahrez anyway.
Dan Posted 9 December 2014 Posted 9 December 2014 They also don't take into account Jeff's multiple conversions. Anyone who rates Schlupp over Mahrez has a seriously different outlook on the game to myself.
