The football league will announce a list within the next 24 hrs of clubs that will be hit by a transfer embargo in January 2015

 

The "team that is going to walk the league this season" is one of the clubs

Leeds United, Blackburn Rovers and Nottingham Forest will all have a transfer ban for the January window after breaching the Football League’s financial fair play (FFP) rules.

The League announced that the three clubs all incurred financial losses more than the £8m permitted during last season.

Submissions from QPR, Leicester and Burnley - who were all promoted to the Premier League - plus the three clubs relegated last season will now be considered by the Football League.

So it seems everyone who has placed a bet with SkyBet in the last 6 months is entered into a prize draw. The winner of that draw wins £250,000 for their club to spend on wages. It's always going to be heavily weighted towards the biggest clubs in the football league, which happen to be the clubs with plenty of money. This could be a new training facility for a lower-league club, or the chance for a non-league club to buy their stadium/pitch outright and become a profitable business, or provide a scholarship or two for the next generation of world cup players.

But no, it's going to fvcking Forest and their billionaire owner to help them comply with FFP and stop them losing more than £6,000,000 in 12 months.
