peterthefox Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Nope, and I wont be dissapointed. Your negativity is increadible, can you not see one positive from the West Ham game?? Paul Konchesky was taken off and hopefully won't come back anytime soon.
Fox92 Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 I've read it and it doesn't shock or surprise me, our squad market value is £49 million, that's... £27 million less than Sunderland £34 million less than west brom £37 million less than QPR £40 million less than Aston villa £43 million less than Swansea £50 million less than West Ham £235 million less than Liverpool. is anyone really THAT surprised or disappointed that we're not rocking up and putting all these teams to the sword? sadly the only thing that talks in football these days is money. Surprised and disappointed? Yes. I really don't get your point, I mean, Burnley got results against Villa, Newcastle and Southampton.
shade Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Surprised and disappointed? Yes. I really don't get your point, I mean, Burnley got results against Villa, Newcastle and Southampton. The point is quite straight forward, generally the squad cost reflects in the table position, if you spend less you're fighting the odds. Southamptons amazing bucking of the trend isn't that amazing when you consider they're 8th in the table of expenditure.

Hull have spent a fair bit and sit 19th. I bet Burnley didn't spend as much, and Palace didn't either? Liverpool have spent a lot, as have Manchester United, but neither have been in the top two.
BlueJoe Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 I wish half the "supporters" on this forum would stop supporting the manager and start supporting Leicester City!!! We haven't won in 11, we keep fielding a team which seems incapable of doing the basics correctly yet we are all supposed to brush that under the carpet? Yes Burnley are ahead of us Why? Because Dyche early on realised that in this league you start at the back. Look at Sunderland 10 league draws compared to our defeats... Because Poyet can see you start at the back! I haven't spoken to any city fans that are expecting to much... Just to be competitive and we aren't because we can't defend!!! And considering we have a manager that played an entire career as a defender that is incredibly poor!!! All I want for Christmas is a team that goes out and is organised , attacks together and defends together.... Not difficult surely???

BigMicky Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Paul Konchesky was taken off and hopefully won't come back anytime soon. Why bother? He made a mistake, it cost us a goal and probably the game. Have you ever made a mistake in your life? Were you vilified and strung up? When confidence is supposedly low, what use is hammering the man?

Ooohh Pound notes! Alright Dyche how you doing?! (I've already used that joke the other day but gotta use it again) At the end of the day people were quick to take the piss out of Burnley and Dyche for him moaning about pound notes and saying market leaders (I admit I took the piss out of market leaders one or two times) when we started the season well and Burnley were struggling but now our fans seem to be making that as an excuse now. On that note Burnley seemed to do ok against Villa, Newcastle and Southampton...oh and us, who have probably spent more than them, perhaps not a groundbreaking amount more but we have spent more.
Neil_LCFC Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Sunderland have won 3 drawn 10 and lost 4 of 17 games I would take that with an 8-0 thrashing thrown in over what we have any day. They have lost 4 in 17 so are in general competitive and hard to beat we are neither.

Neil_LCFC Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Good post, who wouldnt swap places with a team above us Quite a few people on these boards wouldn't swap relegation for a chance of staying up if it means sacking Pearson.
BigMicky Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 Quite a few people on these boards wouldn't swap relegation for a chance of staying up if it means sacking Pearson. That's completely different. If you could guarantee safety with Peter Taylor at the helm would you take it?

Because he was the same last year, and has continued the same this year, should have been replaced at the beginning of the season.

The Horse's Mouth Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 That's a massive over reaction though. We haven't been beyond poor, if that was the case we would be loosing 4 or 5 nil every week. Its just all a bit too dramatic for me. We haven't won in 12 games, how can that be a massive over reaction
Bob Weasel Fox Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 We got more points in the game against Manchester United than in the 12 games that followed it. Let that sink in for a minute. This

st albans fox Posted 22 December 2014 Posted 22 December 2014 I don't buy this 3rd gear argument, we don't actually allow teams to play at will. Sunderland vs Southampton wouldn't happen to us, that is a pitiful performance. Maybe but until we go into the final quarter of a match ahead, we won't know!
Dan Posted 23 December 2014 Posted 23 December 2014 We got more points in the game against Manchester United than in the 12 games that followed it. Let that sink in for a minute. We dropped more points through one awfully defended free kick against Burnley than we've been able to make up in the ten games following
