Negativity

Not one to post much on these boards now, and just browsing through the latest threads I realise why i've stopped coming on. If you look through the top threads:

  • "spineless Leicester City"
  • "blame culture"
  • "this is getting tedious"
  • "Worst ever top flight leicester city team"

I know we aren't winning games and haven't won in 11, but from some off the games i've seen lately we've been playing well and I know at this level when you make mistakes you get punished. IF you look at the team from last year, Its pretty much the same team, with a bit off added extra quality but severely lacking confidence.

If you look at how we played at the start off the season that was a team with confidence, and now were lacking confidence which is costing us errors and building up a lot off pressure, look at Pearson snapping at that fan, personally I think NP is still the best man for the job, We could be linked with every manager and his dog but I would still back Pearson as a club we need stability, and we are not the worst team in the prem there are teams worse than us.

Basically all i'm saying is lets stay positive and keep supporting the lads, they need it, we need it, and when we get a win/ some luck we'll kick on and more points will follow!

This is a forum though. If we can't have negativity v positivity then what's the point?

I'm a massive Pearson fan, but above all I'm a massive Leicester City fan. We haven't won since 21st September ffs. It's not just the results that I look at, it's the performances too. Both individually and as a team, we have been beyond poor. I expected us to be better than bottom of the league, I expected us to give much more of a fight and better performances.

I don't get the "lets get behind the lads" comments that keep appearing either. We do get behind the lads, home and away. As a fan base, we always have done and always will do regardless of our league position.

So, yeah, I'm negative. I can't see us winning again soon.

And I don't get what else you expect? Do you expect us all to be positive? What is there to be positive about? We're 20th, bottom of the league and 5 points off of 17th position. I can't even bare to think about what a loss at Hull will be like, because I sure can't see us beating Tottenham.

That's a massive over reaction though. We haven't been beyond poor, if that was the case we would be loosing 4 or 5 nil every week. Its just all a bit too dramatic for me.

Is it an over reaction though? I don't think so. We've won two games. Doesn't matter if we've lost by one goal or four goals, we're still losing and losing with poor performances. We failed to take points from games such as West Brom, Villa, QPR etc and that's frustrating. Tactics and selections have been frustrating too, but that's for a separate topic.

Let's be honest, I'm always full of beans, right behind the manager etc. 2 points from 12, that's 6 points over a season, how can anyone have anything positive to say? I'm generally not posting on this part of the forum much lately because I don't want to get involved in all the negativity, but anyone feeling positive about our current situation, well, what about, exactly? It's dire at the minute.

You stated our performances were beyond poor, they haven't been. Apart from Swansea, we haven't been outplayed, embarrassed or hammered by any team. We have lost by the odd goal. We are competitive and that's what I deem to be positive. At present we don't look like a team that is already beaten. I am by no means happy, but there are positives, it just depends on how much you want to find them.

How can anyone be positive, when we are rock bottom, and look dead and buried? We have less chance of survival, than bringing a two week old corpse, back to life.

I've seen people diagnosed with life threatening cancer be more positive than some of the supporters of a game where men kick a ball about on some grass!

That's weird .....

There seems to be a correlation between negativity and losing???

It's hardly surprising when it's 13 games and 3 months since we last won a game is it??

Perhaps we all need to do as Nigel says after every game and take the positives out of it ! Oh wait there aren't any and haven't been for months

From my (admittedly unprofessional) viewpoint, we have been poor for most of this run. We've also been extremely predictable, gift goals to the oppo without making them work, are seemingly unable to string three passes together without conceding possession and are generally just a bit of a shower at the moment.

I'll support the lads til I'm blue in the face but how anyone can watch the current performances and not realise that they've been crap is something I can't understand.

But that's not factually correct, we score the two chances we created and its a different story completely. The difference was a top drawer finish from an england international and a mistake. You can't tell me west ham were vastly superior.

West Ham were a far, far better side. It was a shocking performance, and I was glad when the final whistle went.

When the team can't create fvck all against the likes of West Brom and Sunderland then quite frankly our performances since Man Utd have been beyond poor.

Were you at the game? Quite clearly not, we already have established that your knowledge of the game is best described as limited. Please tell me why it was so shocking?

Was that the case at west ham, Newcastle, man city? No.

Sorry but you're living in a dream world. We're as good as relegated and do not look like getting any sort of result soon.

If you want me to be happy about that then I'm going to have to disappoint you.

There's only so much positivity that can come from the fans. At some point we're going to need a reason to be positive. The team are not giving us that at all.

Nope, and I wont be dissapointed. Your negativity is increadible, can you not see one positive from the West Ham game??

Well yeh it was, we didn't create a chance against Man City or West Ham (well not until my stream died with about 10 to go against West Ham) and we only created anything against Newcastle after we'd let them score, we showed no attempt to score until then and by then it was too late.

The performance against Man City was the only encouraging one since we beat Man Utd and we were awful again on Saturday. The first 20 minutes were ok (still didn't create a proper chance) but after we conceded an amateurish goal we didn't trouble them at all.

I genuinely can't see a positive worth mentioning, no. Are you sure you watched the match, really? As soon as we went one down we never once looked like getting back into the game. We were pitiful.

Haha I watched it on a stream. Go to the games and then we can chat.
