foxes_rule1978 Posted 5 February 2015 Posted 5 February 2015 Ferrari engine 1-2 everyday, looks like they've made considerable progress over the winter. Vettel and Raikkonen both seem happy with the handling of the car aswell, which is the most encouraging news for me. I think Mercedes will still dominate but I believe that Ferrari are alot closer to Red Bull and Williams this year. Testing certainly gone very well for Ferrari, can't really take much from it but you can easily see that Ferrari have moved forward loads, and should be competitive.
Nalis Posted 6 February 2015 Posted 6 February 2015 Good to see Ferrari testing well. Bad to see Vettel testing well.

Nick Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 First image if the new Haas F1 car for 2016 Looks like 'Dodge, Chrysler and John Deere' may have been involved in the design process.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 7 February 2015 Posted 7 February 2015 Must be time for some predictions I reckon. I see the Championship standings looking like this in the end. 1 Hamilton (he'll secure the championship in Mexico) 2 Rosberg 3 Ricciardo 4 Bottas 5 Alonso 1 Mercedes 2 Red Bull 3 Ferrari 4 Williams 5 McLaren
Asha Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Want to bet Williams will finish ahead of Ferrari this year? Ferrari have clearly closed the gap this year, they don't have a glimmer of hope of competing for the title but then neither do Williams. I'd be surprised if either team failed to win over the course of the season, but the fact remains that Ferrari have two comprehensively superior drivers and if the car is back in decent nick I promise you Ferrari will be more of a threat.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 I'd happily bet, I think it will be close though. Ferrari's driver line up is debatably worse than last year, Kimi isn't exactly leagues ahead of Bottas either. The scenario was pretty much the same last year a part from the fact Williams have momentum going in, and based on the last couple of years it's quite optimistic to think Ferrari have gotten their shit together in terms of producing a car.
Amin Posted 19 February 2015 Posted 19 February 2015 Hamilton had to stop his day short because of illness. The McLaren was looking good but has now developed a problem that might take until Saturday to sort out.
iamafox Posted 19 February 2015 Author Posted 19 February 2015 Maldonado set the fastest time of the day, with Raikkonen 2nd.
iamafox Posted 22 February 2015 Author Posted 22 February 2015 Alonso had a big crash today, luckily he escaped serious injury but was concussed.
Amin Posted 1 March 2015 Posted 1 March 2015 Winter testing has finished and it looks like Mercedes are still far ahead of everyone else. Ferrari looks like they've made a clear step forward but only to bring them in line with Williams and Red Bull. McLaren have had a torrid time with reliability and they've not put up any fast times but the team and the drivers seem to be happy with their chassis if not their engine. At the moment it looks like: Mercedes Red Bull Williams Ferrari Sauber Lotus Toro Rosso Force India I can't even begin to predict where McLaren are in the pecking order and Manor haven't been at the tests, but you would have assume they'll be bringing up the rear come Melbourne, should they even make it.
The Horse's Mouth Posted 1 March 2015 Posted 1 March 2015 God this season will be hard to get through.
foxes_rule1978 Posted 1 March 2015 Posted 1 March 2015 Mercedes didn't even use the super-soft and still had the fastest times... it seems they are still quite far ahead of the rest...
iamafox Posted 1 March 2015 Author Posted 1 March 2015 Mercedes have done over 800 laps across the whole of pre-season testing, they were clearly working on reliability as it plagued them at times last season. McLaren on the other hand have only done less than 200 laps, although they are still getting to grips with their new power unit.
Facecloth Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 Alonso will miss the Aussie GP. Maggnusson replaces him.
Amin Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 Alonso will miss the Aussie GP. Maggnusson replaces him. It just gets worse and worse for McLaren. I hope missing the first race is just a precaution rather than a more serious problem for Fernando.
Facecloth Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 It just gets worse and worse for McLaren. I hope missing the first race is just a precaution rather than a more serious problem for Fernando. You'd hope so. All seems a little odd after this crash, they keep saying he's fine and it's precaution, but he spent 3 days in hospital and not been allowed near a car since.
iamafox Posted 3 March 2015 Author Posted 3 March 2015 As long as Alonso only misses one race then it is a good decision not to take the risk of him competing in Melbourne.
Facecloth Posted 3 March 2015 Posted 3 March 2015 As long as Alonso only misses one race then it is a good decision not to take the risk of him competing in Melbourne. He drives for McLaren, there's no danger of him competing in Melbourne.
iamafox Posted 3 March 2015 Author Posted 3 March 2015 He drives for McLaren, there's no danger of him competing in Melbourne. Did you know this will be the first time he hasn't competed in a race weekend since 2002?

Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 4 March 2015 Posted 4 March 2015 If KM were to score any points while taking over from Fernando, would his points count for Fernando or not?
