Steve_Guppy_Left_Foot Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 How do you block people? Been months since I blocked Grandad, can't remember how to do it.

Quite a few are - seriously, we're 2 good results away from being right back in the mixer,
Captain... Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 The transfer window will help us, but not necessarily in the way you may think. There are a couple of our rivals who are set to lose their best player. West Brom without Berahino, Villa without Benteke, Burnley without Ings are all going to struggle for goals you could even include Swansea in that if they lose Bony. I've not heard any speculation on Austin but I would be surprised if nobody is looking at him. I highly doubt any of our players are going anywhere but our rivals could all be significantly weakened come the end of January.

MC Prussian Posted 6 January 2015 Posted 6 January 2015 I really hope this thread comes back to haunt the OP. Schadenfreude galore!

sylofox Posted 7 January 2015 Posted 7 January 2015 Notional 4 points counting goal difference (worst in division save Burnley) and it's the standard of play that depresses - we're so shaky at the back, lightweight mid and don't really have a goal threat of any consistency. The Croatian reference was meant to be generic. But heigh ho, am having a New Year drink to the optimists ('cept for Larry who seems a bit...well...boring; and the Doctor who is plainly not a gynaecologist - can't tell a bit of one from a whole one.) Just can't see what could realistically happen in the window to turn us round. Would love to be wrong. 3 on the trot without conceeding a goal is not so shaky.

5waller5 Posted 8 January 2015 Posted 8 January 2015 The title of the thread is misleading. I agree the window is bad for us ... because without it we would have been able to sign players as we needed them ... by mid November it was clear we needed a striker, a left back and a centre half, and we could have had them in by the end of November. 3 points is nothing to make up (6 points felt like a mountain), one win at the weekend and we could be off the bottom slot and disaster could well be averted. But I'm not sure who the transfer window benefits - it's been a big hindrance to us without a doubt.
