We're three points off with half a season left to go and we have to play hull and qpr at home and Burnley away (where we've won our last three meetings). Notional 4 points counting goal difference (worst in division save Burnley) and it's the standard of play that depresses - we're so shaky at the back, lightweight mid and don't really have a goal threat of any consistency. The Croatian reference was meant to be generic. But heigh ho, am having a New Year drink to the optimists ('cept for Larry who seems a bit...well...boring; and the Doctor who is plainly not a gynaecologist - can't tell a bit of one from a whole one.) Just can't see what could realistically happen in the window to turn us round. Would love to be wrong.

If he exists.

Do people also not see if we are stronger at the back they won't need so much protection from midfield. We would look and be so much better going forward then.

What we require is more goals from midfield and defence and to stop leaking goals at the back, a central defender is a must for me.
