LCCFox96 Posted 11 January 2015 Posted 11 January 2015 Garth Crooks is just another one of the BBC's pundits who pretends to know about goings on outside of the top 7 or 8 teams. You just need to read one of his write ups or hear a small talking slot of his on final score - reminds me of a school kid trying to blag an essay. He's shite at his job. Period.
bluesbrothers Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 Konchesky had a good game - the whole defensive unit was excellent. But him being in the team of the week? What?!?Knocky, Was, Wes and Albrighton all had better all round games than him, and Simpson did the business just like him, but without scoring.Which begs the question - can anyone find me 19 dubious excuses as to why the other 19 leftbacks in the league were shitter than Konch this weekend?Still, well played this week Konch. More like the you first few games of the season - keep it up.
Grewks Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 Lets be honest. Guzan should be in it ahead of any of our lads from sat.
Buce Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 He is the worst pundit on the BBC by a country mile. ****ing awful. On the other hand, his future as a professional 'Jabba the Hutt' lookalike seems assured.
howlinmadmurfdoc Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 We keep a clean sheet, Konchesky scores the winner. And still people on here slate the bloke. What's he actually gotta do to get any credit?
tom27111 Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 "Paul Konchesky has always had a decent left foot but the technique he used to score his first goal for the club was superb. He was sent off against Aston Villa last month for nothing more than rubbing heads with Alan Hutton, but got the winner for the Foxes in the corresponding fixture with excellent all-round play. Remember, this lad has played for England and at the moment I can see why." http://www.bbc.co.uk/sport/0/football/30772221 I think Garth Crooks has lost it!

He did score and play alright just because three quarters of the forum hate him doesn't mean he shouldn't get praise when it's due. Obviously I wouldn't go as far as excellent and the England comment is ridiculous but then it is Garth Crooks.
johnny the fox Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 who else is there since Roberto Carlos knocked it on the head?
ADK Posted 12 January 2015 Posted 12 January 2015 It's good for us he scored but James Pearson scored an even better one in pre season and that doesn't put him in contention for an England cap at right-back. Konch played a number of short passes straight to a Villa player while under no pressure. It's his ability with the ball at feet that lets him down for me.
Merging Cultures Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 My name is Gareth, and when we lived in the US people would call me Garth, because they couldn't read. It would drive me crazy. Horrid name.
MIAMI_FOX Posted 13 January 2015 Posted 13 January 2015 Team of the week for Konchesky? Did he not see his 18 miss placed passes before he scored. Haha
