Oh yes, the 'doesn't go to games so can't be a fan' routine. How very intelligent of you. Unfortunately this working mens game of our has outpriced me. I go where I can, when I can but unfortunately times are tough. Very insightful of you though.

PS. The view is better on TV and the game/players far more easy to analyse

Hahahaha no its not. Anything off the ball and you can't see it. Never said a word about being a better fan, inferiority complex?

It's pretty obvious you were making out that because you were there it makes you a superior human being.

Unfortunately with a new born and a disabled todler to look after/support, paying/going to matches is less of a priority, but I will bare this in mind next time I dare to comment on a performance/player/tactical decision as I am clearly unworthy. Seriously, we disagree about a player that looking at the stats has performed poorly this year. Lets just get on with our lives.

I don't think there is any need to bring up unfortunate events in your life on an internet forum unless you are looking for help or support, by bringing it up you are intent on one thing.

My point being before you came to an incorrect conclusion. Is that you can't have a true understanding of a game/player unless you are at a game, TV doesn't come close.

Look fella, I see you have taken offence to my disliking of Koncheskys consitantly bad performances (as back up by stats) but I'm done arguing as you refuse to accept mine or anyone elses responses and would rather post pass completion rates or 'didnt read as lost argument'. At the end of the day any tom dick and harry can see that he has been poor this year, looking at just todays match ratings post it seems most others agree, and looking back on previous match ratings posts it looks like most other consistantly agree. We obviously all lack you superior knowledge and opinion which quite clearly trumps fact based statistics.

Ridiculous comment. Youre single angular distant view is more insightful than HD multi angular close up constant passage of play with punditry and replays just because you can watch an RB pick his arse when the cameras are off him? Plus the time you take eating your pie, talking to the person next to you, having arms/heads blocking your view. You are crazy.

Yawn.

My point exactly. Can't actually argue your point, just make egotistical comments instead and when it gets on top resort to 'i'm not reading' and 'yawn'.

Clueless.

Anyone else want to see Schlupp have another run at LB?

Don't see why not. Get Knocky and Albrighton on the wings.

I do hope you are a detective, talents wasted otherwise.

WTF does that mean? patronising other posters and telling them they have come to the "incorrect conclusion" sure sounds like arrogance to me..and smug... I don't need to be Columbo to work that out.

So on your HD multi angular, commentary infused, 3d wunderbar angle. What's the left midfielder doing when the right back has the ball? Ohh that's right the camera isn't picking him up.. Crack pipes calling.

What a ridiculous argument? Have you never seen a match on TV?

The angle is wide enough to pick up any worthwhile off the ball movement - it would be pretty useless if it didn't? Can I see players drawing opponents out and creating space? Yes. Can I see players making runs to catch a through ball? Yes obviously. All worthwhile off the ball movement is caught by the TV camera.

Do I need to see an RB picking his arse? No.

Live football is great, not a lot beats the rush and adrenaline and excitement and occasion. But nobody can tell me that A. you getter a better view of the game at all times when you are there and B. That you watch more/see more of the game than you would on the TV. It's simply not true, all the jumping up and down/singing/observing the crowd/chatting/eating gets in the way.

With that statement its clear you haven't been to a game in a while. If TV was a better format to watch it on, there would be no need for a manager to be in the stand or the dug out he would watch it at home and relay his instruction via phone.

I'm pretty sure members of the coatching staff are watching playback on laptops and communicating with Pearson. I'm pretty sure I've seen this with my own eyes. I'm pretty sure I've heard countless post match interviews where managers say 'I don't know I will have to watch it back' 'I didnt see it I will have to watch it back' 'I've not had a chance to watch it back but...'.

Agree with Matt Gamble's post earlier in the thread. We need a new left back but he isnt at fault for our defeat today or for any defeat this season other than West Ham away.

Left back isn't a position that is going to make or break a team. A side will stay up if they have a good spine and outside our first 11 we don't have that. Especially in midfield when our 2nd string play we aren't good enough.

I don't disagree. Neither I or the OP have suggested Konchesky is at fault for todays loss.

And Left back is maybe not crucial to the survival of the team, but it's clear that it is one of our weakest links and has been getting worse for some time and now needs some attention.

I must be the only person to think ko cheeky is a decent left back nothing special of course but wouldn't say its because of him that we're bottom. He's played on par with the rest of the team imo

He didn't really deal with Moses though. He tucked in and exposed knocky who was having to run his socks off to help. He didn't help knocky going forward and his passing was no better than Konch.

Were you watching the same game as everyone else? Simpson dominated Moses. How else would Simpson play Moses, who was playing as an inverted winger? Simpson absolutely had to cover towards the center, because Moses was never going to push the ball down the touchline, nor was he ever going to try to beat Simpson with pace on his left foot.

Knockaert's assignments are his own responsibilities. A wide midfielder will expose the fullback, not the other way around. Stoke only had one useful attack that generated from the left side despite pressing with Moses for over 80 minutes.

Knockaert worked hard, but he was all over the shop. He was chasing balls like dogs chase squirrels and was all over the pitch--often running all the way to the left back position when he was playing as a right wing.

FWIW Simpson led all City players with 9 tackles (including one possible goal-saver in the 1st half, tracking out of his position to cover for the exposed CBs to do so) and also had the highest ratings of any Leicester player on whoscored.com.

Giving the ball up too easily from our back third with unforced hoofed balls, game after game.

With two particularly bad offenders:

Vs Stoke: *

Hamer - 35 Total Passes. 31 were long balls. 10 Accurate long balls 40% pass accuracy overall (season=36%).

Konchesky - 43 Total passes. 10 Long balls. 3 Accurate long balls. 69% overall pass accuracy.

Total lcfc: 66 Long balls, 44 failed long balls, 41 of the long balls (62%) were from the above two players alone who gave away possession 28 times (once every three minutes on average between the two of them). Simpson wasn't much better with 6 long balls, only 1 accurate. Wes and Wasyl 5 long balls between them, 1 of them accurate.

I completely agree midfield creativity is a huge problem, but we also need to learn how to pass to our midfield and keep more possession from the get go. Long balls should be reserved for counter attacks and end of game desperation goal seeking. Distribution from back line is not helping us.

FYI Kasper distribution slightly better at 44% but compare to keepers like Llorris and Courtois who sit around 55-60% accurate distribution.

Bojan turned him then did he?

He went tight to Walters too far up the pitch in a physical battle he was never going to win leaving Walters with a free run to the edge of the box and then Bojan did the rest. If Konchesky used his brain and supposed experience he would have prepared for the next phase instead of trying to win the war all on his own.

He has cost us throughout the season. People who defend him are actual plebs.

To be fair to Konch, he did a great tackle in the second half to stop them breaking. He does make errors but constantly chiding him isn't going to help, he also needs to learn to stop biting back when people have a pop at him on Twitter. He is what he is and until we get someone better in, he's going to be in the team.
