Konchesky

Think maybe that is a little harsh on Simpson. Think hes done alright since coming in. I have no confidence at all in Konch when hes got ball at feet or chasing. He looks like he's about to cock it up in every situation. He's been a grand player for many years, but we can play him no longer.

Nah Simpson gets the ball and hoofs it down the line nearly every time or only takes one touch. Reminds me of Richard Stearman distribution wise. Thankfully not defensively.

Did he have another option? Please enlighten me......

Not many other options today as the whole team was abysmal. Was merely proving that Stats do lie.

You are wrong. Apart from West Ham please tell me when Konchesky has been at fault for a goal?? Come on... Weird that they subbed Arnatovic (spelling) because he did very little against him.

Off the top of my head - at Villa away he didn't track Hutton who nodded it in, today he missed the through ball when Arnatovic should have put it on target and then got dominated by the same player on the straight ball over the top which lead to the goal.

Hahaha how have you done that then? Plank

Stopped reading after "nodded it in" that's not correct. Next

Konchesky was very poor today but nobody really shone that much to be honest. It was a write-off, car crash team performance and whilst I think Konchesky needs replacing in the immediate future (next week would be sound!) he can hardly be blamed for today.

By telling you quoting passing statistics for a defender is horseshit if they are merely counting 5 yard backpasses. Do you seriously think Konchesky is a good LB at this level? Honest answer please.

Man of the match lol

We need better. He's a trier but you just cannot get away with such poor technical ability at this level.

Are you joking? He was the only player who dealt with Moses!!

Simpson, Schlupp and Knockaert are only decent performers today

He didn't really deal with Moses though. He tucked in and exposed knocky who was having to run his socks off to help. He didn't help knocky going forward and his passing was no better than Konch.

Konchesky is an easy target, and comes in for unfair criticism from clueless posters such as yourself. He is not the reason we are losing games, he is solid, nothing more nothing less. We could do better, other areas of the pitch concern me more than replacing a left back that adequately deals with most right wingers in this league. At times today he had no option other than a ball down the line into space, what's wrong with that? Hatred clouds your judgement.

You have got me wrong chap. I don't 'hate' anyone - very strong word is that.

But Konchesky isn't good enough - I certainly havn't blamed him for today though, merely joined this thread to say he was shit. And he is.

Cannot agree with you on the LB thing - we have been crying out for a new LB for 18 months. If you think we are sorted at LB then you need to take a look at yourself. Other pisitions need change, namely CM, but LB is definitely a priority. You are blind if you cannot see this. using Konchesky and Solid in the same sentence should be a crime.

Again, you can't offer any insight into why he isn't good enough, you just write a load of waffle. You obviously believe that left back is the most important position on the pitch and by bringing a new one in, we will rise up the table. He may not set many up but he very rarely costs us any.

makes way too many basic errors for an old pro that has premier league experience.

Such as? Don't spout off misplaced passes as he had 9 today.. What else is he so unbelievably rubbish at?

He isn't good enough because:

a. Too slow - very often outpaced, puts in a dodgy last ditch challenge, giving away a set piece, never beats anyone going forward.

b. Rushed and uncomfortable on the ball, looks to instantly offload the hot potato often leaving him scrambling to get it away or getting cought in possession.

c. Woeful crossing

d, Cause of hoofball from the back, never seen anyone play so many failed long balls from the back.

e. Physically not strong enough, often turned by strikers and barged off the ball again leaving him chasing, happened more than once today alone.

f. No creativity - either hoof upfield or a 5 yard passback. lacks footballing brain.

g. Poor positioning, seems to be constantly chasing backwards even though he's offered **** all going forward.

Now you tell me why he's so great? Oh and bare in mind this is all matter of opinion, and if you check out the top 10 threads on the forum about starting line-ups (even for next year in the championship) they ALL state we need a new left back or leave Konchesky out of the line-up or slate him for being shit. Do you know more about football/LB's/Konchesky than the rest of the forum? I doubt it.

And stop posting pass completion rate you ****ing inbred - anyone can complete a few 5 yard passes, the 9 he ****ed up were probably the 9 progressive passes he tried to make.

You can't polish a turd.

Konchesky was a great premier league left back, but that's long gone now he's a championship left back at best. Left back is a another position we've got to look at in this transfer window, but knowing Pearson he'll make bid for a player which will either be rejected by the club or can't agree personal terms with the player, what ever the deal will be delayed in stead of offering another swift bid for the player he'll do and a bit of umming and ahhing for the next few days and by the time Pearson's made his mind up the player as either gone somewhere else or the window as shut.

BigMicky V Rest of forum. Obviosuly BigMicky is right

PS. you have used the 'stop reading' line more than once in this thread. Shows your lack of counter argument. Now jog on and read some more pass completion stats whilst wanking off to your mother.

Wrong again, habit forming. Good name kid, I bet you were last to be picked in the playground.
