Grantham Fox Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 Ok, my first thread. I was wondering who would people have in their team, if they had the pick of the continents, and who would be stronger. So basically I'm asking for people's teams for the likes of Africa, Asia, Australia, Europe and The America's. Surely the latter two are the better? Honestly, I can't think of a full team for Asia and Australia.
Finnegan Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 The Americas are two different continents, so when you say the latter two...
Grantham Fox Posted 28 January 2015 Author Posted 28 January 2015 Shows how good I am at geography. South America and North America. I meant South America and Europe though. Cheers for pointing that out.
Finnegan Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 no problem. I'd say Europe just, for strength in depth. But a best south American eleven against a best European eleven would be pretty much even to be fair.
Aus Fox Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 Well surely Australia would just be the Australian team? Although they play their football in the Asian Confederation, the team would e pretty poor on a global scale but something like Ryan Davidson Linpeng Spiranovic Uchida Abdulrhaman Kagawa Honda Heong Min Cahill Djeparov
Dan Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 Europe but for their population South America pisses over everyone.

Richard Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 Marcelo Bielsa in charge of a South American All Star team

So itd include New Zealand and the like? I mean, the team is probably still just going to be the Australian team, though.
Finnegan Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 Marcelo Bielsa in charge of a South American All Star team Don't think that'd be as good as you imagine. He does well with hard working every men, that's his thing.
Stadt Posted 28 January 2015 Posted 28 January 2015 Ospina Zabaleta Silva Godin Filipe Luis Mascherano Gustavo Cuadrado Suarez Neymar Messi Neuer Ivanovic Ramos Boateng Alaba Schweinsteiger Pogba Bale Hazard Robben Ronaldo Picking the European side was harder, they'd probably just edge it in my opinion.
The Railway Man Posted 29 January 2015 Posted 29 January 2015 Uruguay has the population of Birmingham and has won two World Cups and keeps producing players. South America probably nicks a Europe side without a German or Spanish backbone, North America serve hotdogs for the final, the Asians entertain the rich males watching the tournament and the Africans provide the aftershave for us to do so. And the Penguins from the snow probably beat the Ivory Coast if the elephants need a point to qualify.
Dan Posted 29 January 2015 Posted 29 January 2015 Brasilians have that natural flair Brazilians breathe the game. Probably the top footballing nation on the planet for me. It's all a lot of them know in the poorer areas.

Helps playing on the beach as well, imagine what that does for the first touch having to bring everything out the air.
Pride_Of_The_Midlands Posted 29 January 2015 Posted 29 January 2015 If you are only allowed one player per country then Europe kills South America.
The Railway Man Posted 29 January 2015 Posted 29 January 2015 If you are only allowed one player per country then Europe kills South America. This from the man who said Godin, Cudrado (I've never heard of them, if they were any good they would be in the PL) James and Suarez wouldn't get in the England team. England will smash Uruguay and Italy, never heard of derrrrr players.

I mean, the team is probably still just going to be the Australian team, though. The continent is Oceania, however for footballing purposes Australia are part of Asia. So Oceania would purely be New Zealand and the pacific islands.
Aus Fox Posted 29 January 2015 Posted 29 January 2015 See, I'd of thought Schwarzer and Winston Reid would be there for that? Schwartzer is too old, Matt Ryan is quality and I think will be in the premier league soon. Winston Reid is a Kiwi so will play for the Oceania team.
