65RosesFox Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 "Nigel I hate to do this but you're sacked" "Good one top, I'll see you Tuesday at The Emirates"
MattGamble92 Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Never seen so much love for Pearson. Hopefully opinions wont change if we lose against Arsenal That is because we who support Pearson do so at matches. Those who hate are always the loudest a and take to forums like this
Buzzell Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 I really like your signature I was going to change it but don't think I'll bother
MooseBreath Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Most surprising aspect of me was that 95% of what I read on here and Twitter was all positive for Pearson and the vast majority were gutted. Just goes to show what a few morons with a keyboard can stir up and probably explains why in the stadium there's been large-scale positivity towards Pearson. The significant majority of rational, considered and 'with-perspective' fans want him to remain as manager. Well 33% voted on here that it was the right decision to let him go, even at what would have been quite a strange time to sack him, so I'm not sure where you get the idea that he has 95% support. He clearly doesn't. Will be interesting tomorrow when the post match ratings thread cones out, most of which would have been completed prior to this evening, to see what pearson's support level is on that. I'm guessing it'll be at record lows.
MC Prussian Posted 8 February 2015 Posted 8 February 2015 Imagine the moment Col, DT, weller54 et al. waking up tomorrow morning, going for a neat breakfast, then switching on their desktop/laptop/tablet and reading the latest LCFC headlines. Golden.
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Imagine the moment Col, DT, weller54 et al. waking up tomorrow morning, going for a neat breakfast, then switching on their desktop/laptop/tablet and reading the latest LCFC headlines. Golden. This changes nothing really does it. We are still in a relegation dogfight and the circus of a season continues. The fact that Nigel Pearson remains manager simply means you'll continue to post your normal one sided nonsense. Then again, you do that whoemever is in charge so I suppose it doesn't make any difference.
VLC86 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Never seen so much love for Pearson. Hopefully opinions wont change if we lose against Arsenal I agree, being such overwhelming favourites for the match and all....
chicagofox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Now all the "Pearson out" team have had a few hours of their dream and realised how awful of a decision it could of been, we can all rejoice and get behind our manager and our club. What the fvck are you talking about? In the 2-3 hours that we all thought he was sacked I didn't for once think it was an awful decision. I hope it's a short reprieve until the summer at the very longest.
Burmesefox Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 This is my take. It was a propaganda tactic. Club have egm over MacArthur incident. From the top (forgive the pun) it is leaked he is being sacked. Ssn/journoes go into overload. Furore ensues for a few hours. Then club deny it. Now we have a seige mentality. Club, managent, and fans are galvinised as one for that final push to safety. Imagine the fans reaction at arsenal now. We will be so loud in positive support. The Thais are ruthless business people. You do not get rich by being nice. This is spin and propaganda to save our premiership status. Let's go with it and stay up. Oh when you're smiling............
Lambert09 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Nigel has a free pass for this season... we wouldnt be anywhere near here without him.... if we go down, so be it. He earnt his chance at the big league... and to put things in perspective... we are a couple of wins from the safety zone, if we were sat there everyone would be commending the guy on a great job... I believe we can do this!
Walshy5 Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 What an absoloute joke and laughing stock we are!
Callabinho Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 It won't do anything haha, suddenly this fiasco is going to give our players more ability than Özil, Ramsey, Giroud, Sanchez, Walcott, Cazorla, Rosicky, Teenage-mutant-ninja-chamberlain? Our back four may as well kneel cheeks open, it will be like a Disney fight scene! However I am pleased Nigel is staying.
Guest Col city fan Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 What an absoloute joke and laughing stock we are! Is quite correct. God knows what the media are going to make of this today. Theres gonna be a lot of pretty angry/embarrassed/confused people out there.
Leicester Lass Posted 9 February 2015 Posted 9 February 2015 Is quite correct. God knows what the media are going to make of this today. Theres gonna be a lot of pretty angry/embarrassed/confused people out there. Why will we be the laughing stock? All that happened is that we've been forced into making a statement because one of the largest news corporations in the country has falsely reported a story about our manager being sacked. I suggest the only red faces will be those of Rob Dorsett and at Sky Sports News.

Theres gonna be a lot of pretty angry/embarrassed/confused people out there. They'll spend 5 mins saying there is no smoke etc and that he's a dead man walking. Then they'll talk about QPR, etc for the rest of the day like they always do!

Then they'll talk about QPR, etc for the rest of the day like they always do! It's clear that something and someone has dropped a major bollock here. For a story to get this far, to then be pulled..well I don't think I've seen that happen much. So there will be lots of red faces and questions to answer, I'd imagine. You are right though, QPR will probably hog the air time. Good..let em
