Nigel getting fake sacked was a good thing.

Now all the "Pearson out" team have had a few hours of their dream and realised how awful of a decision it could of been, we can all rejoice and get behind our manager and our club.

I think it'll make some of the players realise they're going to have to start putting a shift in if they want to keep their jobs, coz one things for certain, new manager means new players.

Someone within the club knows something has happened.

A vote of confidence, a meeting........the story must have come from somewhere.

This is not clear cut.

Contracts mean fvck off I'll do what I like for the next 3 years unless I get a better offer.

I think you're absolutely right there. I'm pleased he's still in the job but it wouldn't surprise me if he was all but gone earlier on today.

Not necessarily - it's a stupid move at this point given a new manager has no way of changing up the squad, might as well see the season through and sort it in the summer, but those couple of hours don't show it would be a nightmare to sack him - the options aren't appealing to me, but they might be for others: it's fair to say they could well do a better job than nigel has with this season.

Most surprising aspect of me was that 95% of what I read on here and Twitter was all positive for Pearson and the vast majority were gutted.

Just goes to show what a few morons with a keyboard can stir up and probably explains why in the stadium there's been large-scale positivity towards Pearson. The significant majority of rational, considered and 'with-perspective' fans want him to remain as manager.

Totally agree, good post mate.
