justfoxes Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 Phil on the moan in "we're all but relegated !!" MY FOOKING ARSE !! We still have 12 games to go 4 points to safety and worse teams above us for FOOKS sake back the lads till the final moment that we are or not relegated ! A bit of optimism is always a good thing at least I believe we will survive the drop any agree ??
StanSP Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 I believe it's a pre-requisite of this radio programme to not have a positive point to make.
Swiss_tony Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 General Melchett "If nothing else works, a total pig-headed unwillingness to look facts in the face will see us through." we've been rubbish all season, what makes you think we can get as many points from the last 12 games as we have from the previous 26.
ChrisWoodIsClass Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 does anyone know if stringer has read the players out of contract, if so, who?

The table at this stage of the season don't lie. You keep hold of your half empty glass. Some have a half full glass and will not give up supporting there side. A 4pt gap is not un doable.
ChrisWoodIsClass Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 Some twat mentioning possible pearson replacements, going on about PAULO ****ING DI CANIO, STEVE COTTERILL AND NEIL WARNOCK what is going through the minds of some people

st albans fox Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 we've looked ok in the games since stoke. infact, take out stoke and man u league fixtures and we have played ok since xmas. we will get points if we perform as we have done over the last couple months (when we havent had to play king and drinks as a midfield two). if pearson can get them to believe they can do it then there really isnt a reason that they cant. we just need a win to lift that confidence and the hull game is the obvious fixture. the run in is superb if we are able to impose ourselves - no team with nothing to play for will want to get involved in a battle. can we do that ? huth, wasyl, konch - could do with someone ugly in the midfield. if we arent able to extract five wins between now and the end of may, it will be a mental thing.
muzzycomeback Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 does anyone know if stringer has read the players out of contract, if so, who? hopefully not Chris Wood, he's class

ChrisWoodIsClass Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 hopefully not Chris Wood, he's class too true, just needs the chance

I'll tell you what buddy when we survive I will in capitals say " I FOOKING TOLD YOU SO " !! And in return if you're right you can do the same but at the minute I'm not giving up hope as some of our performances have been superb and as for worst teams above us hull QPR and Burnley and villa will all choke and hopefully we can get those vital points for survival you never know this league is so tight it could be the goal difference that matters so come on lads start popping in a few goals or 3 !!
Phube Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 does anyone know if stringer has read the players out of contract, if so, who? From memory: Cambiassio Knockheart GTF Bakayogo Conrad Waseleski Konchesky And 3 more...
DANGEROUS TIGER Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 The REASON we are bottom, is because we are currently, on paper at least, the worst side in the Premiership. Until we move upwards, that will remain the case.
johnny the fox Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 Whats the point of life? or anything... Im getting in a hot bath with a razor...good bye all..
Oldblueyes Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 It is after all a game of opinions. Nobody mentions about the pro Pearson callers, only those that have a different outlook. Stringer tries to incorperate some debate, Mat Elliot who sits on his fence at times tries to balance the subject (uncomfortabaly if you ask me). In my opinion I like to listen to the show and have no objection to who calls and what concerns they have. That is only my opinion.
Guest MarshallForEngland Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 The REASON we are bottom, is because we are currently, on paper at least, the worst side in the Premiership. Until we move upwards, that will remain the case. What do you mean?! The first part means you're saying we're bottom because we are the worst side. But the second part means that we are the worst side because we are bottom. What you're essentially saying is "Until we move upwards, we're going to be bottom", which is certainly true but not massively insightful.

Guest Col city fan Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 Across the season we've been the worst side. That's why we're bottom. It's not luck or anything else. BUT we still see positives in the side. So until it's impossible to stay up, I keep believing. Was having this chat earlier on with a bloke from work..a fellow season ticket holder. Actually, even if we do go down (which neither of us want), we'll renew out tickets and continue to go. We said we were both fed up of being the whipping boys. It's not progress to be relegated, but it can be more fun in the Championship..well sometimes anyway. It's such a bloody shame because it could have been better than this. But there ya go. It ain't over yet
Swiss_tony Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 Nearly as strange as the fact you think we can't make up a 4pt gap with 12 games to go. that's logic.

I blame Wellens Posted 23 February 2015 Posted 23 February 2015 Will renew and always will but the championship is a stepping stone, a burger king , a member of S club 7, a Natalie Sawyer, a Peter Beagrie, a journey to the final destination of the prem. The Prem, aaah Sarah Jayne Mee, Kasabian, a Hand Made Burger a Jeff Stelling. We waited 10 long years for this. Just imagine if we'd had a few more Spurs, Liverpool and Stoke aways. Jesus the Man U home is still on the 'planner'. If we do go down its bloody well staying on there until we go back up. I love the Prem its the dogs b@@locks the championship is just b@@llocks. Although It pleases me at times (and I'm not just talking about Natalie Sawyer) it will never truly satisfy me.
justfoxes Posted 24 February 2015 Author Posted 24 February 2015 that's logic. No logic is 12 games to go 4 points behind safety and 36 points left to play for so we haven't picked up that many points up till now but it's the run in now who knows we could win our next six games on the bounce or draw a few people thought we would lose but so long as we're just 4 points from safety at the minute and we have 36 points to play for and I'm not saying we will get all 36 only a fool would think that But I'm staying positive until it's in black and white that we've stayed up or gone down. Stop all the doom and gloom and saying it's over because it's not it's not over till the fat lady sings and at the minute bud she's just gargling !! We will finish 17th ! COYB !!
st albans fox Posted 24 February 2015 Posted 24 February 2015 I've become strangely optimistic over the last few days Hope Nigel can get this feeling across to the boys Im not happy that he is still there but he ain't going anywhere and he remains out manager till the end of the season - keep the faith - stranger things have happened. It's not as if we look completely lost at this level. Just need to find a way of playing a bit more ugly against the weaker sides.
