Naughty Nigel calling a reporter a pr*ck

You mean apart from 99% of all cases, with the remaining 1% being blown out of proportion and used against him by people who have never liked him in the first place?

And I agree, Pearson is the only manager I've ever known who just couldn't keep his mouth shut in public.

and what does the outside world, away from McPrussia think of NP? Well just in case you missed it:

so why give them the headline story they wanted? to be goaded by a moron doesn't say much for him does it..

I didn't say it was the best response, just that it was understandable.

That first sentence, old been, is an opinion, and not necessarily a fact.

Still in two minds what to think about all this. On the one hand its nice to have a manager who is a little bit human, who isnt a robot.Yet on the other hand

... this isnt the first time and is it an example of Nigel simply being unable to cope with the pressures of the Premier league?

He just doesn't have the sense to keep his mouth closed, in public.

Apart from the fact that if he did keep his mouth closed in public he would probably get even more stick. In fact, I'm sure you'd be the first to say "he doesn't talk to the media, what a disgrace!".

Yeah, it's a fans' messageboard after all. lol

Besides, 99% is a pretty accurate percentage looking at the amount of press conferences or interviews he's given over the past few years.

Some rather interesting context behind the incident from Rob Tanner. Seems like the oh so innocent journalist, perhaps isn't quite so lovely an innocent.

The problem surely isn't Pearson calling him a **** (which having read this article, he clearly is). It's just his demeanour during the whole interview. It was how he used to be on a regular basis when interviewed by Stringer. He gave Mike McCarthy an awful time after the Southampton game, too. He just comes across as rude, arrogant, patronising from start to finish). No one can deny it. You just can't ask him anything. I think he's become an embarrassment to the club.

Hes going to just have to learn to curb his demeanour.

After the way this season has gone, plenty of journalists will know they can push his buttons and provoke him into giving them exactly the headline that theyre all looking for.

And lets be fair, it doesnt take much to make him flip and lose his cool.

What this says about his character in remaining cool with the players, handling pressure, handling the rigours of a bad situation is up for debate, but he wouldnt do any harm by keeping Leicester, and himself, out of the papers for the wrong reasons until the end of the season.

Failing that, send Shakespeare to do your media for you if its an issue.
