Naughty Nigel calling a reporter a pr*ck

Recommended Posts

The reporter is on the phone in now. He's spot on to be fair. Saying these things happen, usually with the microphone off.

Just heard it. Backfired on Stringer a bit, sounds like he was expecting and wanting this guy to have a go about Pearson

I know I thought that, it sounded like he was trying to get something going.

" Pearson had a small budget" ??!!

We had the fifth highest wage bill in the Champ last year, only the clubs with parachute payments above us. 2nd highest debt in Champ £111m no less, our the owners have backed Coco Loco Pearson to the hilt. Don't present your prejudices as facts.

You seem to forgetting the fact it was highly inflated when he arrived.

He deals with it in a professional maner and youyall call him boring! stop being fickle.... hes pissed off, i would be aswell if my team did'nt perform for me the way i wanted them too and know they can!

lol...comparing Pearson to ibrahimovich!!!???

Just the behaviour, this thread is about Pearson swearing and some say that makes our whole club look bad.

Wonder if there is a PSG thread about Ibrahimavic now?

Who cares? The only reason that anybody sees these vids is because of the rise of social media. I'm guessing that some of the London-centric knobs at the Mail got both barrels from O'Neill back in the day but we'll never know because dullard press conferences like these were rarely publicised.

I couldn't care less if Fred from Bolton & John from Newcastle or any other random fans with press-fed knowledge don't like him or what they think of the club.

At least Ibrahimovic apologised.

Pearson has no need to apologize.

How many times have you called someone a "****" underneath your breath? Just that in this instant a microphone captured it.

One is known for being an arrogant larger than life charchter...the other just arrogant!!!!

Neither did Ibrahimovic? But he then used his brain, noticed he represents PSG and was unprofessional.

Pearson obviously wouldn't do this, because he's a selfish tvvat who seems to know better.

Is this not the exact same scenario we're talking about now? FFS. Nige clearly doesn't know that the viewers can hear him.

Get over yourself with your desperate need to be offended with everything Nige does and grow up while you're at it.

Your right.

And if he was the manager of a team of players he's had for years you'd think k he'd know how to get the best out of them....OH gang on a minute.... He is the fooking manager!!!!

Wait?!

BBC Leicester actually invited the reporter onto their show?

Why are the ****ing clowns who run that place so desperate to turn everything into a ****ing circus?

Why couldn't they just leave it and get on with their miserable lives?

Did you actually listen to any of it?

It was a pre recorded conversation stringer had with him earlier in the day. And I doubt Stringer was doing it to stir up trouble because if you actually did listen to it nothing bad was said at all. The reporter didn't have an issue with anything, he didn't make a big deal out of it and he didn't demand or expect an apology.

Who then came onto the radio and did Nigel a huge service in playing down the incident (when he certainly didnt have to after being called a p.rick)

But i understand that part of your remit is, i must protect my idol at all costs. I get that. Even if you give us all plenty of entertainment in doing so.

Because it serves their own purpose.

Such a ridiculous idea - inviting a journalist who asked a particular question which the manager dismissed and using this as a major talking point during a radio show.

If that isn't bias, then what is it?

How about inviting all the other journalists who're asking smart questions? Somehow, I don't see that fitting the phone-in's profile or its main audience.

HE PLAYED THE INCIDENT DOWN!!!!!!!!!

"Serves their own purpose". Youd already made your mind up before you even heard what went on. Dear me, nugget.

The amount of times I've met Pearson in person - including prior to the game on Saturday - he is far from what he is being called on here. I've just watched Fantasy Football Club where they featured Pearson and both Fenners and Merson (who played with Pearson at Middlesbrough) said he is anything other than what he comes across as in press conferences and interviews.

If you have a problem with Pearson calling the reporter something then fine, although I personally think it's nothing, but it's the abuse you lot aim at Pearson I cannot agree with. It's not needed.

People only see Pearson in his professional capacity.

No one cares about what he is like away from his professional capacity.

People do care about what he is like IN his profession. How he conducts himself as a figurehead of the club, How this might impact on the squad, how this media behaviour may raise questions about his abilities to handle pressure, or handle things when they arent going his way. A lot of people care about the light in which our club is portrayed, and a large part of that comes from the manager too.

And this is because his professional capacity is the vehicle for his character to come through to us. The media and his glibness being a part of that.

He has on a series of occasions attracted some very bad attention to the club.

Attention that a number of the people involved have done him a HUGE favour by diffusing for him and playing down. I mean, could you imagine if McArthur or the journalist had talked the incident UP? wow.

But having watched a disaster of a season, and a manager running out of ideas, and seemingly respect, he is continually fanning the flames of all of those who question him.

lol lol

If Stringer wanted to stir things up he wouldn't have played the conversation they had earlier today.

He can't, really. Not right now, anyway. The phone-in's been rather quiet or let's say subdued ever since that last "incident" with Pearson, Stringer and/or Bourne involved.
