Unhappy with diving and cheating in Hull game

Such a pointless thread. One incident and now we're a bunch of cheats that won't get decisions now (as if we do anyway). It wasn't even a dive either and neither wad Vardy's. Just moaning for moanings sake

I agree but if we get a stone wall penalty now we probably won't get it because we have started diving

We haven't been getting stonewall penalties since September, not going to be any more or less likely now.

Huddlestone got a second yellow but imo he didn't foul Vardy. Clear dive by our man and got an opposition player sent off. Explain that.

You are joking right? It's a clear check to stop him running into the box. Its cynical and there was obvious contact. Both yellows were nailed-on. You'll notice there was very little protest and Huddlestone had practically started walking off as soon as the whistle blew.

Well it wasn't a stone wall penalty - it was a stone wall free kick, that's why the ref gave a free kick.  If it was in the box, we'd have been given a penalty.  Vardy didn't dive any more than most other players in this league do when an opposition crashes into them...

I don't understand the point of the thread.  Let the players do whatever they can (within reason) to gain an advantage to secure us 3 points.

Regards.

Steve Bruce also said he had no problem with it.

The Premiership, if not football in general, is littered with divers and players who are willing to cheat at all costs. All these tactics are designed to fool the referee and I have no hesitancy in betting that some managers, in the confines of their dressing rooms, suggest this to their players.

Mahrez and Vardy go over far too easily but they are only 2 of many who do this week in week out. There are no morals in football.

Look at Vardy Vs Utd's Rafael

I don't believe contact, automatically = foul, but there was contact & the ref deemed it a foul so awarded the pen. what would have happened if Vardy had stayed on his feet and nothing was given? The stakes are too high

Just like Utd fans were claiming Vardy shoulder-barged him in the build up to that pen... I didn't see anything wrong with it, Gary Neville would have stood up to it, it's not Vardy's fault he went over like a pack of cards at the mere sight of a shoulder

maybe I should have started another Pearson out thread if my thread is so pointless.

The Mahrez cheating killed us in the game as it quite rightly wound up the Hull players up.

Bruce had one foot on the ground when he rook the ball before Mahrez there was nothing at all wrong with it, I don't have a problem with Vardy apart from he goes down a little easy and we end up getting punished by never getting a decision because of it.

It wasn't a perfectly good tackle. The letter of the law says you can't go 2 footed into a tackle with your studs showing. The referee followed the rules clearly and was right to award a free kick. It was a reckless challenge and technically should have been a red card.

Suggest you re-acquaint yourself with the laws of the game.

Careless = Free kick

Reckless = Free kick and yellow card

Excessive force = Free kick and red card

By your own admission, it should have been yellow.

I've got all those rules tattooed on my back.

If you want I can add excessive force in there for you now. He went flying in on both man and ball recklessly with excessive force. There was no need for Bruce to make the challenge in the way that he did. Should have been a red.
