Unhappy with diving and cheating in Hull game

I know we are desperate for points but against Hull I was appalled by some of our cheating tactics.

The worse being Mahrez going down like he has been shot after Bruces tackle took the the ball, the worse thing was his delayed roll when he went over about 15 times.

I watched it live and was disgusted as it was obvious from my angle it was a good tackle and couldn't believe the fuss our players made to try and get Bruce sent off, wish they had made same effort into trying to get the ball.

Was surprised match of the day didn't make more of it but on match choice on sky it was flagged up.

There were other incidents like Vardy going down far to easily.

Just hope its a one off as we are not that bad normally are we?

Bit contradictory, no?

You must be a real masochist, watching a 0-0 draw with Hull on Match Choice and Match Of The Day.

We've actually been quite honest for the entirety of the season and look where that has gotten us.

Yes I tend to agree with this it just got to me a bit, we never seemed to put our head in where it hurts in the Hull game.

I can't say I think we've done this much this season. Then again, it wouldn't be a surprise if we got a 'if you can't beat them, join them' attitude about it. The referees just do not clamp down on it, there needs to be rule about not just diving, but faking injury too (and yes there are plenty of occasions where it's blatantly obvious).

We rarely surround the ref, I don't think Pearson likes that sort of thing at all. But you're always going to get diving cheats in most teams, Mahrez is not really a shock candidate for it is he (and yes that is a dig at the country he's from and the one he previously played in).

I was a bit annoyed with Riyad when he did it against Doncaster last year given the circumstances. This year, I'm less concerned with it, we have to cheat to stand a chance because we're just not as good, if it was to the extent that say Aston Villa have cheated in their games with us this season I'd be a little bit embarassed, but it's not that bad, I don't think we're much worse than any other side in the division and as long as we're not physically hurting opposition players deliberately I don't really care.

It is more the Hull game I'm annoyed with I should have put that in the title of this post.

I was expecting up to go in hard and really get stuck in not revert to this nonsense

You put 'sick of us diving to try and win'. But i'm not sure exactly what you're sick of? It's the first time from memory we've done it this season. For other teams, it's a regular occurrence every week.

'sick of' suggests more than one occasion though buddy. Would love to see the ratio of decision that have gone our way and against us. Not suggesting thats why we're bottom before anyone starts

Just hope its a one off as it did us no favours and wound Hull up if anything

Really, most people say we've been too honest which is naivety, and at this level doesn't help

Roll on the Championship's real football & goodbye to the Premier League prima donnas, the PL is little more than a Sunday afternoon TV programme these days   :P

Hull City are facing punishment for failing to control their players against Leicester City after receiving a Football Association charge.

The Football Association (FA) has charged Hull City with failing to control their players during an incident in Saturday's 0-0 draw at Leicester City.

The flashpoint took place in the 68th minute of the Premier League contest at the King Power Stadium.

Referee Jon Moss booked Alex Bruce for a strongchallenge on Riyad Mahrez, much to the chagrin of the visiting players, who voiced their disapproval towards the official.

A statement from the FA read: "Hull City have been charged by The FA for failing to ensure their players conducted themselves in an orderly fashion.

"The allegation relates to an incident which occurred in or around the 68th minute of their fixture against Leicester City on 14 March 2015."

Hull have until March 23 to respond to the charge.

We're one of the most honest teams in the league. Literally every team cheats. We do every now and then but hardly ever compared to most.

I think we've been very fair this season...ok vardy goes down a bit easy....we've had cast iron penalties turned down and when Morgan cleared the ball with his face the ref gave a penalty against us...but we certainly don't surround the ref like manure or Chelsea

Pretty much agree with that. It's an absolute joke of a situation. Indefensible. The cheats prosper and the footballing authorities don't seem to have a problem with that.

To be honest sometimes I think you have to go to ground easily to get a free kick given, seems most weeks that someone has been pulled back or fouled in the penalty area which has gone unpunished. It's like when I play football, people will chop at your ankles which will stop you from being able to go forward with the ball, but if you don't go to ground then they play on.
