  1. If anyone with a vested interest in this ridiculous ID scheme is getting their hopes up about it, remember any security system is only as good as the people implementing it. I got my Bruges away ticket by pretending to be my mate's brother. I'm white with fair hair, he's brown. The club staff who were there know him. Enjoy inconveniencing yourselves and making your fellow fans' days slightly less enjoyable. I'm sure it'll help you sleep better at night.
  2. Rate Foreman. Gets good rip for an offie and bats.
  3. Documentary on BBC2 right now about people in Alberta who want independence from Canada. Had no idea that was a thing.
  4. We've been a Prem side while they were playing on Symington's Rec (park pitch, for those who don't know Harborough) in the late 90s/early 2000s. Think that was in one of the Northants leagues, not even top county standard.
  5. What part of that is an opinion? Either that's a fact you can prove or it's untrue.
  6. Had the pleasure of meeting him once. Absolutely lovely fella. There's a blue plaque on the house in Barrow where he was born. Beveridge Street.
  7. Perera is probably the biggest mystery in terns of why it took him so long to get a pro contract. If Kent don't want him, I'd like to see us try to sign Bertie Foreman as a spinning allrounder. Doubt they'd go for him though as he's a standard offie.
  8. A lot of counties waiting to see who blinks first. Decent explainer here: https://www.thecricketer.com/Topics/county-championship-premium/josh_blake_exit_sets_keys_ignition_wicketkeeper_merry_go_round.html
  9. The Brew Room was Stag HQ for mine a few years ago. Quiet and decent range on before hitting the trashy gaffs later in the day. Looks like it's now called the Rhythm & Brew Room but still looks decent. Blackpool Cricket Club's bar used to win Camra awards when I lived up there. Good pubs in Poulton (Thatched House) and Lytham (Taps) if you want to branch out.
  10. It's because the little weasels who follow them see themselves in them. They think dressing up and being right-wing automatically makes them hard.
  11. More of that in the past 24 hours on the booze at football stuff. Blokes now convincing themselves things they enjoy are shit just because Labour are in favour of it.
  12. Frankly the competition on radio is a good thing. Talksport at least have presenters who bother to keep up with county cricket.
  13. Saw the banana. Would have come and said hello if I'd have known!
  14. Need to be aiming marketing campaigns in the area near the ground. Discounted membership if you live in walking distance. Almost make Grace Road a de facto social club. Derbyshire went big on targeting the estates near their ground this summer and I believe their T20 sales were up.
