  1. Well it is true, we aren’t other clubs and we’ve not released them anywhere near this early for a long time. 25/26 - 28th May 24/25 - 10th June 23/24 -5th June All clubs have to post realised lists to the leagues by a certain date. So that’s utter nonsense also that we’ve not released one.
  2. Whilst I have zero faith in them doing anything remotely good, the retained lists are posted around the time the contracts end, and not mid may. So expecting that now will always lead to disappointment as it's just never done. In terms of communication on the manager, what do you want? A statement saying we are still looking for a manager, would you actually be happy with them stating the blindingly obvious. I'd wager a rather large chunk of time has been spent figuring out our financial position, the new rules etc. Because we all know they aren't going to have planned for this.
  3. The problem is, whilst very skeptical about Glover. He's being handed managers of totally different styles, who all want different things. If a manager comes in and wants "experience", you are buying players on a downward trajectory, unless you have huge amounts of money. So Glover is left scrabbling around for has beens who might do a job. I doubt he's been handed the keys to build the team as he wants, almost like Walsh and Pearson had time to. That's the reason behind this new guy above them all hopefully, he's hopefully going to be given the time and space to have a consistent strategy, with managers and players. But he's totally unproven, so who knows what we're going to get... or whether those above will even allow him.
  4. You have to go back to the Pearson route of recruitment. Hungry players with something to prove, players with a decent mentality. And in terms of skill, focus on certain assets where a player excels. They might not have the total package, but they all bring something a bit different. Whether that's a player with extreme pace like Dyer, or tricky skill like Knockaert. Height and power of Howard. An extreme grafter like Okazaki. The crossing ability of Albrighton. Dead balls and the passing of Gallagher. So often players had flaws in other areas of their game, but very often that had one thing they excelled at, so that as a group, you have players that present the opposition a different problem. That gives you options and makes it hard for the opponent.
  5. Until they change the rules, this will continue to happen to us and every single other club lower down the pyramid. It's not unique to us.
  6. Kingpower need to take over the loans, get the club back to running on income, scouting up and coming talent for future sale at profit and and pray for a premier league return at some point to claw some cash back. You know, the basics.
  7. There is nothing inherently wrong with doing it. There wasn’t then, when first discussed and there isn’t now. All clubs barrow money they don’t have to be paid back later against some sort of security. For example, when you get promoted you don’t just get a big cheque for £150m. The money is paid in bits and pieces with a large chuck tied to appearances on TV and where you finish etc at the end of the season. So clubs will borrow money in some fashion, and then pay it back at the end of the season when the money comes in. Like you or me using a credit card and paying it off at the end of the month. The problem here is that we’ve stopped paying them back. We spent the money on other things by the looks of it. We’ve then accumulated even more loans from them in the mean time. The situation is now very very different looking at what we know (we never know for sure being a year behind in the accounting). Plenty of clubs continue to borrow money without being in major financial difficulty. Borrowing money isn’t the issue, the total lack of financial responsibility and planning is, along with an apparent change in KP’s ability or want to take a loss. Getting promoted was the out handed on a plate. Yet we decided to not take it, spend that money on a load of rubbish and dug an even bigger financial hole. The mind actually boggles as to what they were all thinking. I can honestly only think that Top has gas lit everyone that KP is the backstop and will always sort the finances, and they are told to not worry. Because I can’t believe so many people would be this moronic.
  8. When he was quiet you kind of hoped he wasn’t out of his depth… the second he started speaking up more it became perfectly clear he hasn’t got a clue and is being spoon fed a load of tosh.
  9. The clowns should have taken that hit when we got promoted. Should have banked the money, taken the hit and started the championship in a better position.
  10. I look forward to the root and branch review that holds Dorris the tea lady totally responsible and nobody else loses their job.

  13. Once again, perhaps you should actually read what I say. I'd said over and over again he takes a portion of the blame, but that without knowing the ins and outs we cannot possibly apportion what percentage of it is down to him. I would suggest in recent times it's become glaringly apparent that Top hasn't got a clue and nobody at Kingpower seems interested in fixing that issue. Sack Rudkin and you will still have problems as he's utterly clueless. Have I defended certain aspects, sure... A LOT. But people need to get their heads around the fact that defending criticism that you think is over the top, or unwarranted because we simply don't know the facts, doesn't mean you think they are blameless, or doing a good job. People posted a lot of unfounded, and quite simply factually wrong, dumb shit. Being somewhat argumentative (understatement), it's going to illicit a response. There has been thousands and thousands of perfectly reasonable criticisms on here of him over the years which I didn't argue with, I didn't defend and the only interaction would be be a thumbs up. There are no posts where I've said he takes no responsibility at all, or that he's doing a good job? (Outside of where some decisions were good and worked well. eg. Maresca, Rodgers - at the start). They simply don't exist. So how on earth I'm "dying on a hill" I don't know, especially considering I've hardly posted for over a year and a half now. Find a post you think is outlandish in its defence, PM me and I shall happily debate you on it. That goes for anyone. I won't do it here, as Mark will just block me and I won't be able to reply. Feel free to read the below though.
