James. Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 Girlfriend loves them. I don't. Personally I like to buy a standard margherita from Sainsbury's and add my own toppings, including plenty of chilli flakes. Last time I had red onion, red pepper, sweetcorn and ham. Mmmmmmmmmmmmmm.
Guest Bilo Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 Me no likey these. I'd much rather buy a base and build my own pizza from there frankly. Tomato sauce perked up with a dash of tabasco, mozzarella sprinkled on top with jalapeno peppers and chilli flakes sprinkled on top of that. Lovely.
Samilktray Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 Star Pizza located in Thurmaston is where its at.
CosbehFox Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 Agreed. Mum made some big issue of them the other week...sat down to have one after watching City on a Saturday and half was left. Bit OTT for a Pizza.
Guest Bilo Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 Star Pizza located in Thurmaston is where its at. Domino's with their Buy 1 Get 1 Free vouchers will do just fine for me when I'm lazy.
Bellend Sebastian Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 I actually like a Dr Oetker Pizza Pollo. It may not be the full on taste sensation of a Chicago Town meat feast, but it won't push you quite as far on your way to an early grave, and trust me, when you hit your thirties that saturated fat goes straight to your belly (that which doesn't helpfully store itself away in your arteries, anyway). If I'm feeling really dirty (or pissed) then I will weaken and pay a trip to American Pizza, as its a) cheap b) delicious and c) about 150 yards from my house. I don't know why it's called American Pizza though. The bloke that owns it is Turkish and the girl that normally serves me is Bulgarian
Unit Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 Anybody had the pizza express take away ones? (it's not actually a take away, you buy it at asda, frozen) Beauuuuuuuuuuuuuutiful, better than the ones in the actual restaurant.

Plus they defy any logical laws of physics. No matter how long you cook it for there is always one part that is cold.
Monk Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 I love these, actually taste vaguely like proper pizza as opposed to the shit filled shit ones people usually buy
AjcW Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 Love the pizza express ones from sainsburys and asda... And Goodfellas Chicken one mmmmm
Dr The Singh Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 Never buy prozen pizze or even fresh ones, we prefer to make our own dough and and pizza fresh!!
AjcW Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 Never buy prozen pizze or even fresh ones, we prefer to make our own dough and and pizza fresh!! To be honest non of us by Prozen Pizze..... Get yourself over to the fuck like rabbits thread in general sport... its all about you
Dr The Singh Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 To be honest non of us by Prozen Pizze.....Get yourself over to the fuck like rabbits thread in general sport... its all about you I'll be there in a mo, my testoterone levels are really low, i need some relief or testorone injection first!!
Alexikokopops Posted 25 September 2009 Author Posted 25 September 2009 I love these, actually taste vaguely like proper pizza as opposed to the shit filled shit ones people usually buy They taste nothing like an actually pizza. I had a Speciale one the other day and the mushrooms were worst than the Tesco value tinned ones I used it eat in my darkest times as a student. And the base! The base is nothing like a pizza! A proper pizza has a thin soft base. This is like eating a giant crouton.

Shrenchel Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 I love them but then again I eat Rustlers so my opinion is prolly not really valid.
Alexikokopops Posted 25 September 2009 Author Posted 25 September 2009 Sure it's not they way you cooked it???? I had to cook the last one a little longer to combat the physics problem, which is why it was particularly croutony. The previous two I had still had a shit base. I do not have this problem with other pizzas. In fact, I bought two of these (although not this flaour) for the same price as one Dr Oetker and they were so much better.
Finnegan Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 Frozen pizzas in general are just a disappointment. The old San Marco ones used to be alright but you can't find them anymore. Restaurante ones are just plain, too thin and a bit steep for what you get. When they're on offer (and hence not £358283953) - Pizza Express pre-packaged pizzas are the tits.
Alexikokopops Posted 25 September 2009 Author Posted 25 September 2009 When they're on offer (and hence not £358283953) - Pizza Express pre-packaged pizzas are the tits. Now this I can agree with. They're half price down Tesco at the moment.
Fox You Forest Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 Never tried one, I'm quite partial to a Chicago Town pizza though.
Lillehamring Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 there are 12 flavours of the 'ristorante' pizza here, i used to like them but they are a bit powdery... and besides why eat them when you can get: do you not get this 'gourmet' version - casa di mama - bleedin lush
Monk Posted 25 September 2009 Posted 25 September 2009 I would like to meet Dr Oetker. Why/how is s/he a doctor? Doctorate in croutonology? Think he should move into Caesar Salads?
