I know were not in the Prem but we want to be, I am just trying to highlight the massive gulf in class between our side and the current Man U team. If Man U can do this to Roma what could they do to us. This thread is supposed to be a bit of fun and is not more or less pointless than any other thread on this site. What did you expect us to think though really? when plymouth rode us round the pitch on monday.

Attacking policy didn't quite work for Roma though did it, Thats why Man u had so much space after the first goal. We wouldn't of conceaded 7, we don't have a full back on a kamaikaze mission like Pannuci for one.

Yeah Pannuci was, and still is a great attacking right back. However stick him on the left he gets exploited for to easy, attacks gives the ball away doesn't get back, and it's not as if he's going to get any help from Mancini either. And to be honest it was a similar story on the other side but Casseti isn't that attacking he's just not good enough to play Champions League football. First goal was a great strike but the second was a decent counter attack down the left, the second came down the right, and the forth is the best example of what I'm talking about all of them. There was just to much space for Ronaldo Giggs Smith and Rooney down the flanks.
