Well done to Carl Cort

Well done...

Congratulations indeed...

You looked like you did'nt really have your heart in it... Things were not going your way.

Well done for spotting the crowds frustration at your poor performance, getting a mystery injury, falling to the ground in 'anony'? and getting the biggest Leicester cheer of the day at your demise.

And so very well done for sneaking off the pitch during the Kenton substitiution and thus escaping the fans wrath at your inept performance!

I supposed a prolonged spell out injured whilst being payed a fortune by the club is now in order!?

Very well done Mr Cort.

Get off his back.

He is playing dreadfully... Is booing him going to help him?!

If anything, take your frustrations out on the people who select him.

Thank god the likes of 'Leicester Legend' Gerry Taggart has got us playing free flowing football... Gerry Gerry Gerry!!!

I have been watching Leicester for 27 years & have never seen an instance of booing your own team/players having a benefitial effect.

Have a laugh. Take it you weren't at Preston then?

He had a good game then, he was no worse than anybody else today. He won a fair share of balls in the air, but DJ and Fryatts inability to read the game and anticipate where the ball is going made it look needless.

Well that came back on quickly! :|

Anyhow, Cort wasn't great today, not by any means. But neither was anybody, really. And I was left thinking to myself that Collins, Collins Johnnnn - the man everyone wanted to come on - was actually worse than Cort in the time he was on the pitch. Seriously.

Sorry but this guy is complete and utter dire. He doesn't do fook all apart from get in the way of our own shots. The man did nothing today and i think he even knew himself that he was playing wank.

But then you got the idiots who say ... But he scored at chelsea ... FROM 2 FOOKING YARDS :frusty::@ He missed a Open fooking goal and that cost us.

I hope the bloke is loaned out to Leeds or somewhere.

yes he's been playing well, AS A SUB, he doesn't have the legs to start anymore his role should be restricted to being a last 20 sub

I agree that he was as bad as everyone else and we need to stop booing him he was dire but booing him wont help

I love how you say booing him won't help ... What will help him then ... Cheering him singing his name but lets not boo carl know because he might get the idea that he is playing rubbish and might try and book his idea's up.

Good point but surely all this booing will knock his confidence and make him feel unwanted although please dont get the impression i think he is good i just dont think booing helps :dunno:

at the moment id prefer him to be injured, hes performance today was not what i pay good money for... i think we have every right to boo him when i have to pay this kind of money to watch him loathe around and do nothing. we use him as a target man but hes worse at heading than levi porter I MIGHT have a change of heart in the morning but im thoroughly annoyed today as pretty much everything went wrong

Yes he was bad but he wasn't any worse than most of the team that started today. Thing was that he wasn't working hard enough today. He wasn't chasing down the defenders and putting pressure on the them. He did win his fair share of headers but other than that he didnt do much.

You lot gotta get off his back though. If some strangers was reading this board they would think he had missed several sitters and was the main reason we lost today.

How shit was Collins John today?

How many headers did he win? None. How many times did he just jump up to make it look like he was going for the ball. Tooo many.

I see your point also, we are supporters of the club and the team and we shouldn't boo our own players, It probally won't help his confidences at all but its hard when your sitting there and we are playing dire and he just isn't good enough. I think the new manager should sort Cort out. Like give him a run in the second string or send him on loan and not use him.

I assume thats sarcasm? :dunno:

The only "football" out there today was hoofball and pass-it-along-the-back-line-when-you're-1-0-down! :S

Striker's are taught that if he thinks/knows he isn't going to head the ball, then he is to jump to put the defender off/blocking his view.

You talk to me like i know nothing.

I'm a striker myself, so i do know this. But they're actually meant to at least be within a yard of the player that they're supposed to be challenging.

Collins John wasn't.

Calm down.

I was only answering your question...

He played well in the last 2/3 games but today he was awful, no worse than most of the other's but he was awful still and with Collins John and Hume on the bench he needed subbing sooner than he was.

Can I just add that I did not boo him, I was just venting my splean at his abject performance on here.

With the sytem adopted today unless the hoofballs stuck at least some of the time then we were never going to create anything, so watching that lump loaf around up top like he could'nt give a stuff I found very very frustrating.

I also agree he realised things were not going his way and made the most of what was probably a minor niggle to get an early bath.

Football today is littered with players, especially strikers, who are earning shit loads of money living off of very brief past glories, it's early yet but so far Cort is looking like a prime example.

I hope it all clicks and he bags 18 goals this year and sets up 15 more, but can anyone even see him getting into double figures?

Play with 2 wingers ( or wing backs who's starting position is the halfway line ala Guppy / Impy) cross the ball in front of him with regularity and quality and he will get 30! Play with 10 men behind him who don't even have the ability to hit his chest to give him a fighting chance to hold it and you get a team that a combination of Pele and Maradonna couldnt shine in or score in. If the Iranian and Portugese internationals or even Max Gradel cant get in that side the games bent. I didn't buy him so i'm not picking him?

He has'nr been able to stay fit for more than a handful of games at a time for years, so ability aside I failt to see how you can make such statements.

Our squad is littered with strikers. I agree the tactics being adopted are one dimentional and a load of rubbish.

I guess we will have to wait until we have a Manager in place for more than a few weeks before we will finslly see who is going to come to the fore and claim the striker berths on a regualr basis.

I don't suppose anyone has heard an update on Gradel have they. It wouldn't surprise me if his return home becomes permanent in the circumstances but it is ironic that a fit Gradel would surely walk into our team right now and there is no-one who's particular abilities are more needed.
