purpleronnie Posted 5 March 2011 Posted 5 March 2011 Don't know if anyone gives a shit but they won their FA Vase 1/4 Final 1-0. Just 2 games away from wembley, hopefully they'll avoid whitley bay in the semi's.
jonthefox Posted 5 March 2011 Posted 5 March 2011 well done. Its always good to see local teams doing well, whatever the level.
fatmando Posted 5 March 2011 Posted 5 March 2011 Kings Lynn Town FC also still in for the vase and the trip to Wembley! 1600 people turned out to watch their quarter final today. Impressive stuff for a club in something like the tenth tier of the football league system I thought. When is the draw?
samjohnson Posted 5 March 2011 Posted 5 March 2011 If im not busy, ill be sure to get a ticket for Wembley to support them All aboard the glory train!!
Webbo Posted 5 March 2011 Posted 5 March 2011 If im not busy, ill be sure to get a ticket for Wembley to support them All aboard the glory train!! They'll know you're a glory hunter a mile off. You've only got 5 fingers.
Leicester Rule! Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 Hopefully they'll avoid Whitley Bay in the semi's
filbertway Posted 6 March 2011 Posted 6 March 2011 Whey! A deserved victory yesterday, we battled brilliantly and beat a team who've only lost 2 competitive games all season! Really looking forward to the semi's now, regardless of who we get it's going to be 2 top weekends.
purpleronnie Posted 7 March 2011 Author Posted 7 March 2011 Semi Final Saturday, 26/03/2011 CoalvilleTown v King's Lynn Town3 Poole Town v Whitley Bay Semi Final 2nd leg Saturday, 02/04/2011 King's Lynn Town v Coalville Town Whitley Bay v Poole Town At least they avoided Whitley bay, but 2nd leg away isn't good. Might be over 1000 at coalville for the first game, away game may well attract double that.
CosbehFox Posted 7 March 2011 Posted 7 March 2011 Home tie scheduled nicely on an international weekend. Should be a massive crowd thanks to that.
purpleronnie Posted 7 March 2011 Author Posted 7 March 2011 Anyone know how many coalville's ground holds? I'm sure Kings lynn will want to bring a couple of hundred at least, 1,600 for their last fa vase game.
filbertway Posted 7 March 2011 Posted 7 March 2011 You can get 2000 in our ground, wouldn't surprise me if Kings Lynn fans outnumbered us in both games. It's only just over a 2 hour drive so there should be plenty of fans there, looking forward to both legs anyway should be a couple of top days out.
purpleronnie Posted 7 March 2011 Author Posted 7 March 2011 Really happy for Adam I knew him quite well a few years back. Nice lad. Just saw the table for kings lynn, they're 2nd behind st neots (very very good side). Home record for Kings lynn Played 12 won 12, goals for 53 goals against 10. I think coalville need to win their home fixture.

Obviously has some good contacts in the game to draw in the calibre of player he has playing for us. We were leaking goals before the Leiston game and he brought in a new guy called Zach Costello who won absolutely everything at the back. Obviously knows his stuff. Leiston's record before they played us was W21 D5 L1, but it seems Kings Lynn will pose even more of a challenge, they are a huge club at this level. I wouldn't write us off if we don't get a result in the first leg, but I would much rather take a lead into the second leg. Either way, I hope we have a full strength squad available for both games. A trip to wembley would be absolutely insane! Potentially two if Leicester can make the play off final
The Year Of The Fox Posted 7 March 2011 Posted 7 March 2011 At least theres a chance of going to wembley in may now
Fox You Forest Posted 7 March 2011 Posted 7 March 2011 Quality that it's during the international weekend, I'll be giving the Wales game a miss and giving some hammer to the Shed End.
purpleronnie Posted 9 March 2011 Author Posted 9 March 2011 The 1/4 final had the same prices as a normal league match £5, £3 concessions.
filbertway Posted 9 March 2011 Posted 9 March 2011 Wouldn't be surprised to see the club try and take advantage and put the price up a quid or two. For every pound it's probabaly going to make them an extra £300-500 after takings have been split.
purpleronnie Posted 10 March 2011 Author Posted 10 March 2011 The match will be all ticket with a capacity of 1800.
