As promised, a quick update as 2 sections of the frieze are available to bid for on e-bay

Last night a section featuring Gary Lineker, Alan Smith & Steve Lynex was released

Tonight a piece with Frank O’Farrell & Peter Shilton has been made available

You can see the latest bids & click on the direct link to the item to bid on http://foxestrust.co.uk

Thanks DavieG, quickly doing a message board tour so didn't spot the 1st thread

As each item is added, they will all display on the right hand side of the Trust website, so saves doing individual links for each item

Had a glitch on the 2nd item initially, but it is displaying correctly now

More to follow this week

Really?!?!!

Cant find £250 quid to bid for myself let alone get to Leicester and pick it up.

I posted that comment when it was £21.00 with 3 bids. I didn't read the descirption either, because other than match days, I don't go into Leicestershire.

Can't believe the price now, but it really is a fantastic piece of history to own.

Re the distance issue raised by both Fox92 & Peterborofox in terms of only being in Leicester on matchdays we would find a way.

We have only said on non matchdays, as we doubt you would be able to take the piece into the stadium (yes we know they came from there in the first place).

May be able to arrange an early meet up on match days, so you could carry the piece back to the car or we can look at sending out (but that could incur a significant additional cost), but we can judge it on a case by case basis, as the sizes vary considerably, eg, the largest pieces would need 2 people (maybe 3 to carry them)

How many of these will there be?

do you mean threads or auction items ?

Auction items, an initial 6, followed by a further 6 prior to Christmas, than more batches in the New Year.

From memory there are a couple of duplicated images, but the vast majority are one offs

Thanks - I did mean auction items.

Will there be one with the club crest on available?

What other ones will be available?

Cheers

all though it may be for charity still should have done some at a reasonable price so more fans had a chance to buy..

i imagine most of the banner was just skipped also..

Fair enough.

If only I had money to burn, I'd be bidding all night. Really is LCFC history that is.

It wants going on the wall in a pub or somewhere where it's going to get seen - rather than being stowed away in somebody's shed.

Yes. So wrong if it doesn't. It was created for public display and should remain so.

The crest pieces from the frieze were not complete & hence not usable, but there are a few items that aren't player image related, one of which is in the first 6 lots we are releasing this week.

Although the current plan is that the vast majority of pieces will go on e-bay, the FT board is going to review after the first 2 batches have been sold.

The initial bids are very encouraging in terms of raising the funds for charity

Very few of the items are duplicated

We are also gathering any feedback from message boards which we will review for alternative ways of making the items available, so we can discuss feasability, so can't really put a final number of how many will go on e-bay

Thanks for that, hopefully a fair amount will be raised which will be of good use.
