Jordan Ayew - NEVER PLAYING FOR LEICESTER AGAIN!!!
splinterdream replied to moore_94's topic in Leicester City Forum
Ayew is limited, that's all you can say about him. Wouldn't arsed to see him as a squad player but if hes on a packet and we can move him on then its for the best -
Nah you're right in that sense, think Rob Tanner said something similar, almost like he needs protecting for his own sake. We're not experts in this field, but from what he has said, he wants to play 1st team football, so I dunno

Daka was astonishing, he more than quadrupled his pay, I just dont get it -
Probably been said some years before, but im rewatching it so thought I'd give it a mention. Chernobyl. One of the best dramas I've ever seen. Read a book on it aswell, and there's also a podcast to go along with the series. If you haven't seen it, I highly recommend, and for a little fact, when it happened, we were extremely close to all of us not being here today if not for some brave Russians.

I do think we were a tad unlucky, big clubs have had similar with players coming in from abroad and being awful, we have had more than our fair share though, I wonder if there was something we weren't doing when it came to the analysis, the real crime though as we all know, was the contracts. -

That's fair enough but I don't remember seeing any negative opinions on the signings of soumare, daka and even Bertrand, infact rememebr seeing opposition fans salivating at our business that summer, but we really let ourselves down in the January windows prior -

Try having a look at who he signed, why he signed them, the thoughts at the time and what budget he was given and ask was it enough? Soumare - a Ligue 1 winning defender that could carry the ball from a defensive position through the lines, someone to team up with Youri as Ndidi was struggling. Daka - A striker bagging goals.for fun keeping Haaland on the bench Lookman- a creative winger, we could have taken him for £12-£13m, what's his value now? Vestegaard - we needed height to see out games, and also to replace Morgan/fuchs who were bench players anyway, had also just had a blindingly good Euros campaign. Bertrand - Free, and experienced squad player to replace fuchs and see out games. On paper, these should have been good signings, our problem wasnt they were bad signings, its that we messed up with what we gave them in wages meaning we haven't been able to move them on. When I say Rodgers was ambitious, I mean ambitious with us, he wanted CL and would have had it had we made January signings those 2 seasons we blew it -

Is that what we’re thinking, the club trying to piss RVN off so much they’re hoping he walks? I can’t see it, but I agree with you on Rodger’s, I always blamed the club rather than Rodger’s, the man was ambitious, the club couldn’t fulfil that, Rodger’s wanted out but he wasn’t going to walk away from millions of pounds for free, he played the game and won -

It is weird, has there ever been a situation like it? If it's financial, surely the club can say to him, " thank you for your service, but we are going to let you go, but we can't pay your remuneration until this point when it will be official, but you're welcome to speak to other clubs". -
I kind of think this but the club is costing him (or King Powe), a fortune, this culture respect thing isn't doing him or the club any favours. He needs to drop the Thai thing and behave like an ambitious football owner, or move on, Vichais legacy will never die, us fans wouldn't allow it
-
£5m? Wow
-
Up till now I've not been king power out but I'm getting increasingly angry, especially when I see stupidity like we arent progressing talks with managers out of respect for RVN. Who are these idiots running our club?
-
Used to listen to it but can't anymore, was just too uncomfortable with his constant innuendos, especially when Kate was on. Plus, some of the opinions on there were just stupid
-
Such a strange opinion, there was literally nothing about Cooper that was good, I honestly think he got lucky with Forest due to them signing some decent hard working players and talented flair coming through academy or on loan.
-
And that's where we are now. Forget the PL for now, we arent in it, and we may not be in it next year either. Teams will be sitting back against us next season so we need to play that style, our best players thrive playing that style, that's just the reality of where we're at, we arent going to play like the team of 15/16 whoever comes in
-
We were better with Enzos system than we were with Coopers or RVNs. Unless you've seen all of Southampton games then you've no idea whether hes adaptable, and if he wasnt, maybe he'll have a different outlook with us, who knows.
-
He was everything we needed at the time, a ball carrying defensive midfielder to play through the lines with youri, a ligue 1 winner, and the fee wasnt huge, so where did it all go wrong? You get the feeling he's hated every minute of playing for us and never wanted to come here in the first place.
-
Also we don't really have a 9 or a midfielder you could say is top level
-
Victor Kristiansen (an option for Forest, Percy.)
splinterdream replied to davieG's topic in Transfer Talk
I think he was decent when bombing forward on the overlap to Barnes, bearing in mind he was only 20, but a more stationary style of play and having to be more defensive has shown his where he's lacking, and when he is having to be to more advanced playmaker on the left, again has shown his lack of quality -

It’s like he’s got worse the longer he’s been with us, kind of weird because when he first joined he looked a great prospect
