  1. Yep. Not bothered about the game itself but it's very sad what's happened in general, because it's all so unnecessary. I can't detach myself from supporting the club like some on here seem to have managed to.
  2. No. Turned off at 3. Had a pleasant evening. Relative to the league we are in, you are right. By far the worst team in my time, maybe in our history too? Somebody on the Brentford match thread said it was worse than McLintock's season which I've always understood to be about as bad as ever.
  3. Just wow
  4. Must be at best very distracting and at worst totally demoralising playing behind this defence
  5. This is why people like Allardyce and Dyche, as awful as they are, consistently got jobs
  6. Obviously there are huge issues at the club beyond the manager but quite simply we lost a very good coach and then appointed two guys utterly out of their depth.
  7. Incredible. Totally unprofessional.
  8. Think I'll pour myself a glass of wine and go read
  9. got away with one there
  10. Love to see a settled side. Breeds confidence and cohesion.
  11. We left the EU to make our own (worse) laws
  12. I have to say I quite like ending the DEI stuff which is 90% just a huge grift
  13. I think it's slightly underestimated how much people in the public eye can themselves be radicalized by stuff in the media. There are for example loads of seemingly quite intelligent celebrities who have spiralled into posting pretty unhinged stuff daily on social media. This is probably especially true for someone like Truss who as you say was totally humiliated in 2022. Having said that she always was a bit unhinged.
  14. Another Nazi salute I see. Though it's probably just an awkward gesture from someone responding to legitimate economic concerns of workers left behind by neoliberal capitalism, and nothing to be worried about.
  15. I think this another 'Americanism' that is actually closer to the original than modern British English

  17. I go to the odd home game and I'm no football analyst so I can't judge but yes they play quite good football and they seem to have a great spirit and belief at the moment.
  18. Not a good idea, you could seriously damage your fist on that chin

  20. Not really. For a start there have been wars and ethnic cleansing in Europe since WWII. NATO didn't stop that happening. It hasn't happened in countries in the EU as obviously territorial and economic integration has ensured. Arguably the biggest destabilizing factor in the EU is blowback from the US and UK interventions in the Middle East. The EU has brought stability and prosperity. Anglo Saxon countries don't like to admit that because they like to believe only they can guarantee those things.
  21. Fun times eh. At least the libs were owned.
  22. Go to see them quite regularly and it's great vibes at the moment. First game I went to was 6 years ago, the year after they came up from non-league. They lost 0-2 to Scunthorpe, who are now Conference North.
