Though knowing a lot of Brits I have a feeling he may not be wrong
-
Ok now I'm totally confused. Wtf is going on in the football?

Posts dropping like flies these days. Had one of mine removed yesterday. Starmer's Britain

I don't think he went that far, I think it was just a disagreement on the Should Online Influencers be Restricted Or Monitored? thread.

27 minutes and counting according to the BBC. Do they have to run, jump and shoot something after completing the game?
-
That Cattermole opinion finally catching up with him?

I really like it. There's some discussion a few pages above about the Midlands style of beer which I prefer compared to the South, but aside from that I do think it's genuinely one of the better ales around.

Our place is right opposite the QE hospital. Will send positive vibes. Hope you're on the mend soon!
-
Ah shit. Get well soon man. You still in Downham? Thought of vicious snakes in the vicinity is freaking me out.

Impressive that US police conduct continues to be shocking and disturbing even when you think you've seen it all

I think the point is they are both quite stupid people and both desperate for attention. Brand's recent tweet illustrates this perfectly.

On the subject of 'we shouldn't dismiss people as bigots and idiots', I was unfortunately exposed on social media to Russell Brand's opinions on Kamala Harris as Democrat nominee. A man whose popularity as political and social commentator I believe peaked around the same time that fellow man of the people Joey Barton was appearing on QT. Truly a glorious era in UK political debate.

I see Cleverly once again is claiming anyone who disagrees his favourite policies is racist. Truly the Conservative party has an exciting future.

I actually think we've become too accepting of clearly fallacious arguments for fear of causing injury to collective or individual identities. You saw this a lot with Brexit where a lot of quite obviously incorrect stuff was tacitly accepted in the spirit of addressing 'legitimate concerns'. And at the same time we are too quick to claim injury to our own selves to dismiss the points of others, as we saw recently with Cleverly and Badenoch (the 'future of the right wing' lmao) responding to a celebrity calling out their bullshit. I don't know what the reason is - maybe social media, maybe the fact we're a very individualist society, influence of US politics - but we have become a society that is both passive-aggressive and intellectually lazy when it comes to politics. There are clips floating around twitter these weeks of Blair dismantling the arguments of critical members of the public. It's totally unthinkable in the present day.

He's good at getting out the way. Maybe deploy him in the Teddy Sheringham role on free kicks, standing in the opposition wall.

I would say 1453. Some people say 1204 when Byzantium fell for a few decades. Some very silly people say 1922. I like the argument that the final part of the Western Roman Empire to fall to the barbarians was Wales in the 13th century.

say his name five times in front of a mirror and see what happens

Brexit won because of prejudice against Eastern Europeans and because people believed we sent too much money"to Brussels". I don't think personality had much to do with it.
